After playing some XDefiant, I can safely say it's not a CoD killer. It could be, maybe some day, but it severally lacks content. It's fun to play and I've enjoyed my time with the game. It's the best CoD-like game I've played, but without more content, it's not going to last. From what I've played, it doesn't even have team death match. There is like 3 versions of King of the Hill and an escort mode with not enough maps to play on.

I was thinking of subbing yo Game pass, My TV has an Xbox app on it. Was wondering if anyone had experience with this, I don't wanna waste the cost of the controller on something that might not work...?

The only way to really know if it works well is to test it out. As long as you have a great internet connection with low latency, then it should work well.

I suppose so but how does the Xbox controller pair to the TV? Do I need to buy a specific controller or will an XBone controller work?

If your TV has the Xcloud app, it will work with an Xbone controller via Bluetooth.

I've never used Xcloud on a  Samsung TV, so you should probably look up a guide on how to do it.

Context: Jez said that Xbox has marketing for Assassins Creed, Star Wars Outlaws, ReFantazio and one other "major" 2024 third party title, so this is him confirming he wasn't talking about Metal Gear Solid.

I'm happy to see Xbox actually trying again when it comes to getting AAA 3rd party marketing deals, the last few years it felt like they had pretty much given up on 3rd party marketing deals.

As for what this 4th major 3rd party marketing deal could be, I can think of a few possibilities:

  • Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. EA has stated it will get a gameplay reveal this summer, and it has previously leaked to be releasing Holiday 2024. Xbox already has their EA Play on Gamepass deal, so this would be an easy deal for them to make
  • 2K Games Summer AAA reveal. 2k has stated they have a AAA reveal for this summer. There are 3 main possibilities for this AAA reveal, the next Mafia game (the most likely candidate based on leaks, in development since 2020 if I'm not mistaken), Borderlands 4 (in development since 2019), or Bioshock (in development since 2018, though rumored to have seen a development reboot summer 2022, so it is the least likely of the 3 to be revealed this summer, as they may not have got alot done in 2 years since a possible reboot). While Sony usually gets 2K marketing deals, Xbox does occasionally get them, for instance Borderlands 3 in 2019.
  • Tomb Raider. Crystal Dynamics has been working on their next Tomb Raider game since 2020 I believe, so with 4 years of development so far, it could see a reveal this summer.
  • Wonder Woman. Monolith has now been developing Wonder Woman since Shadow of War released in 2017, 7 years of development, so a gameplay reveal this summer could very well happen.
  • Splinter Cell Remake. Ubisoft has been working on this for several years now and it was recently leaked to be getting gameplay this summer, and the series has history on Xbox, but it would be strange for Xbox to have marketing deals on 3 major Ubisoft titles at once.

This year we will get Fifa2K VS EA's FC.  I wonder how it will be.   FC advertised by Sony?  Fifa by MS?

Finished Fallout 4.

New Vegas had a better story, Fallout 4 was more fun to play, the power armour is so much better in 4 and I did like settlement building but it was undercooked, New Vegas was the only Fallout title I played and I thought it was a great game but didn't really have any strong desire to keep playing Fallout, I think now I would play Fallout 5 on launch, the show got me back into the games.

Hot-take though, if I had the choice of more Fallout games or more Fallout TV Show, I would pick the TV Show, Lol.

Might play 76 next.

I think the first "gen" Xbox One controllers don't let you use Bluetooth with anything other than an actual Xbox. But it's not like you could still buy those in store.

Possibly, but I think remembering connecting one of my Xbone controllers to my phone using Xcloud. I will say, the Xbox Series controllers are built for Xcloud better due to lower latency and better bluetooth functionality.

Ubisoft adding a P2W monthly subscription to R6:Siege is the funniest shit ever.

“For $10 per month, or $80 for an annual signup, subscribers get "a continuous stream of premium content that keeps your Ops equipped with the best exclusive gear."
