This is it's own game instead of just a port.
This game was recently ported to many modern platforms after being exclusive on an old console for over two decades.

Doom 64?

Yes, that's it!

Alright falling a bit behind, but here's the next batch of hints:

45) Didn't win a ton of GOTY awards, but it certainly dominated one "award show"

44) They are making a movie based on this series which I have quite low expectations of, but it's not the one you're thinking of

43) You can use certain weapons to get slightly more "air distance", allowing you to reach places you couldn't otherwise (probaby quite obscure, but true)

42) A licensed game based on a character with many faces

41) You are your own worst enemy... Until you aren't

Symphony of the Night. I have the soundtrack so this was quite easy.

Yes. I always found this song hilariously out of place.

Apparently my hints are too vague, so another round:

#43: (it is not: Q*bert, Pac Man, Crash, K.C. Munchkin)
You controlling what is basically a big orange mouth.
This game is basically a variant of Boulder Dash.

Supaplex?

It definitely doesn't really fit the atmosphere of the game very well, or the rest of the soundtrack for that matter.

Guessed by @Darashiva

The game when Konami decided "let's turn Castlevania into Metroid" and suddenly became co-credited with creating a genre.

Ahem. Symphony of the Night is great. There's not much I feel I can say about it that is personal or inherent to my experience, this is an established classic and I only think of it as such. That is to say, it never touched me on a personal level, but I really respect its quality. And especially the quality of its soundtrack. Whenever I try to think of something to say about this game, it's about how much I disliked the second half of it, where it really felt like they had no content left to offer and just resorted to endless padding instead. And the endings were all disappointing, to make matters worse. But everything up until that point is just amazing.

Tomorrow's game is tomorrow's, so I don't need to post a hint for it yet. Feels good to finally be ahead of schedule though, so here you go (it's an easy one too).

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

43 - This game features a couple minor vehicles, which you'll use in a supporting role next to the primary vehicles, which are sometimes based off cars and vans from real-life TV shows.
Hint 2: They look like how they look in the shows too, like the orange car from "The Dukes of Hazard" and the black van with a red stripe from "The A-Team".
Hint 3: There's more of those secondary vehicles, which you'll have to use to get yourself from place to place, from construction vehicle to construction vehicle, too though, like trains and cranes.
Hint 4: Those construction vehicles (you know, a bulldozer, a dump truck) however are actually used for destruction instead.

41 - There's an easter-egg in a sound clip in this game, where a traffic report comes from something from another, related (but different), game. It usually reports heavy traffic.
Hint 2: The name of it even uses the same three letter prefix as everything else in this series.

Oh, #43 is absolutely Blast Corps :P
