This deal won't be finalized until next year.  MS currently doesn't have the power make any decisions related to Acti-Blizz.

"Fire him or no deal". Oh hey look power.

oh you innocent ray of sunshine, it doesn't work that way, but he'll be gone in the end anyway.

COD Warzone as a Xbox exclusive? Errrr Sony is doomed. They kind of have to respond to this or face being irrelevant really soon.

It doesn't work like that.

My BIGGEST concern right now is absolutely fixing the culture at Activision, I have a little faith that Xbox will do that as they're very afraid of negative PR and Microsoft as a whole is pretty image-conscious.

However, Microsoft has absolutely zero say over anything with Activision right now, they have no power to make them do anything until the deal is closed, for all we know, there could be a behind the scenes agreement that Bobby leaves once the deal is done but they aren't going to announce that until the deal is done as there's still a small chance that the deal may not even go through (if it doesn't, Microsoft has to pay Activision $3bn).

I'd expect that Bobby owns a decent amount of stock too.

They announced nothing about Zenimax's board IIRC (one of which was Trump's brother) but they all left once the deal was finalised.

At least Sony spent the entire generation growing their first party brands. Now they can sort of survive by adopting the Nintendo model. They just can't compete with Microsoft money.

"Bobby Kotick will remain as Activision Blizzard CEO after Microsoft acquisition""
So something shitty happened. They waited until the company tanked. Bought it. And kept the person in charge of all the shitty things.. in charge of the company.

So MS did nothing about the situation but enable the guy in the first place. Disgusting.

From my recollection, Bobby Kotick has controlling interest in Activision. They can't get rid of him until they take control of the company.

WTF?!

You wouldn't want that. Kotick's contract would give him a massive payday if Activision fires him. He would get $250+ million.

Does this mean we will finally have warzone under 100gb and smaller less frequent update !!?
