Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft to buy Activision Blizzard for 69 billion $

Remembering either a news or thread where someone was saying Activision was approaching Sony and Ubisoft approaching MS. As always the insider saying that information was completely wrong =p

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

So something shitty happened. They waited until the company tanked. Bought it. And kept the person in charge of all the shitty things.. in charge of the company.

So MS did nothing about the situation but enable the guy in the first place. Disgusting.

This deal won't be finalized until next year.  MS currently doesn't have the power make any decisions related to Acti-Blizz.

fuck if they add wow into gamepass i might relapse

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Crazy news! They've been building up momentum this gen with XB pass and this is surely a game changer. Surely Sony have to respond now...

Also I love how Nintendo are just chilling in the corner like here's another Kirby game

Yeah Im sorry I hate this. Not at all excited for every gaming company to be bought out by a larger one and have every game locked behind some system’s ecosystem

Everyone wants to be like Apple. Phil is not a fan of play anywhere like he spouts often.

Insanely huge consolidation. I wonder if Sony will be forced to respond (maybe with something like Take-Two).

Sony do not have that kind of cash, and Take-Two wouldn't sell to Sony.

Assuming an average premium, Sony definitely could afford an all-stock deal and perhaps even a stock and cash deal. Of course, whether that would be accepted or not is anyone's guess. EA tried it, once, coincidentally after another market deal involving Activision.

Regardless, I'm almost certain this is all hypothetical since Jim Ryan likely believes their first-party lineup is solid enough.

Well I would rather say they are buying momentum.

That's very surprising! I've been wanting to get the Xbox Series X for a while now and this is helping.
