Forums - Gaming Discussion - 2022 List Wars, who has the strongest 2022 lineup?

Who has the best 2022 lineup so far?

Nintendo 65 52.85%

Playstation 36 29.27%

Xbox 16 13.01%

Undecided/NA 6 4.88%

Total:123

No flaming other fanbases or people allowed!

I figured now that each of the 3 console makers have announced a good many of their 2022 games, now would be a good time to do this. Note that all line-ups are subject to change, some games may get delayed, new 2022 exclusives may be announced.

Nintendo

  • January- Pokemon Legends Arceus
  • March- Rune Factory 5
  • Spring- Kirby and the Forgotten Land
  • TBA 2022- Zelda BOTW 2
  • TBA 2022- Bayonetta 3
  • TBA 2022- Splatoon 3
  • TBA 2022- Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope
  • TBA 2022- Project Triangle Strategy
  • TBA 2022- TMNT: Shredder's Revenge (likely timed console exclusive)

Playstation

  • February- Horizon: Forbidden West
  • February- Sifu
  • March- Gran Turismo 7
  • Q1- Stray
  • Q1- Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection
  • Spring- Forspoken (2 year timed console exclusive)
  • Spring- Ghostwire Tokyo (1 year timed console exclusive)
  • TBA 2022- God of War Ragnarok
  • TBA 2022- Goodbye Volcano High

Xbox

  • Q1- ExoMecha
  • April- STALKER 2 (3 month timed console exclusive)
  • Spring- Warhammer 40K: Darktide (timed console exclusive)
  • Summer- Redfall
  • November- Starfield
  • TBA 2022- Ark 2 (timed console exclusive)

Let me know if I'm missing any games.

Hard to say for me, personally.

HZD Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok and - presumably - FF16 are coming out for PS in 2022. So thats a very strong lineup right there.
Yet, im very much looking forward to BOTW 2, Bayonetta 3 and - I assume - Silksong, which are coming to Switch.
Tho, tbh, I kinda always thought BOTW 2 was gonna be delayed. I hope not, but for some reason, I always thought it'd be the case.
Xbox exists.

Hard to say.

Anyone know what Stadia has lined up?

For my personal tastes, Sony currently has the strongest line-up (and I say that as a huge Bethesda fan who is super hyped for Starfield), but Xbox's 2022 line-up has definite potential for improvement which could push it ahead of PS5 for me in the end. Xbox games like Bright Memory Infinite and CrossFireX are likely to be delayed from 2021 into 2022, and Forza Motorsport reboot, Avowed, and Project Mara all have good chances of making 2022 in my opinion.

As for Nintendo, they objectively have the strongest 2022 line-up, but only 2 of them meet my personal tastes.

Nintendo has the strongest line up, provided BOTW 2 doesnt get delayed for which I pray it wont.
Sony is next but curious what Microsoft has up their sleeve as they dont have too many announced for 2022.

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

Bayonetta 3 tops all lists

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Missing Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS5/PC.

Personally I think its a draw between Nintendo and PlayStation. Two massive titles releasing same year on both consoles.. which ones stronger depends on your preference of games/platform.

Having just seen the Nintendo Direct I saw three 2022 games I'm interested in.
I can only think of two PlayStation games.

So I went Nintendo.

  • Deadliest mass shooting by an individual in US history (10/01/2017)
  • Deadliest high school shooting in US history (02/14/2018)
  • Deadliest massacre of Jews in US history (10/27/2018)
  • Political assassination attempt of TWO former presidents(and 10+ other people)  (10/23/2018 - and beyond)

I only follow Nintendo and a bit of Sony, among those two I think it's Nintendo after today's Direct. I'm not sure if Sony has anything else to show, they usually announce their games way before release and I'm inclined to believe some of those can be actually delayed

So yeah, Nintendo
