Idk, Super Mario 64 is one of my favourite games ever, but when I think to the N64, I mostly have Pokémon Stadium in my head

Man I could go on so long about this topic. I have over 30 consoles and the one I know best is the N64, having grown up with it and adding more games over the years!

I still think Ocarina of Time is the biggest masterpiece in its library so I've voted for that but there's many other strong choices - you can make a good argument for SM 64 at least in terms of importance (ie. showing the world how to do proper 3D with a camera that the player can control).

Faulty as it was (mainly because, at the launch time, it failed to do what the Ultra 64 showcases had shown prior to the console's release, causing a blow to the expectations they themselves generated), I have to say that nothing, nothing at all would compare to the N64 experience at the time. People get so impressed by the wrong factors imho they would forget that gameplay in a huge majority of PS1 3D titles was simply garbage and in no way comparable with the no loading, real time cutscenes, full 3d experiences on the 64 and would go like "you saw that CG"? Or "man, how easy it is to get a cheap copy of a PS game"? Not to be trolling or anything, but I almost bought a PS1 and then my friend and I came to an agreement: I would get a 64 and he a PS so we could play both ones and I always tend to think he regretted it a bit, even if he would have more titles to play in general. 64 was the right decision, especially tech wise, I have always thought, but it is not what the majority thinks, not now, not then.

Getting stuck on the Deku Tree for hours. Ocarina of Time I just could not figure the game out. I had to purchase a Gamer Guide to pass through OoT

Out of the many awesome games on the system it has to be Ocarina of Time.

I picked Paper Mario. It's just about the only N64 game I've completed. And I love it a lot, despite the sequel improving on it in just about every possible way.

It would kind of be cheating to pick Ocarina of Time. I played though the game on 3DS, but didn't even get to Adult Link in the N64 original.

Good call! I actually prefer it to Ocarina myself. A lot of people call that blasphemy, but Majora's just got this whole other mood going that the series hasn't really touched since.

Latest Video: Top 12: Best Games on the N64 - Special Features, Episode 7

The N64 is a strange system in that while it has very few games overall, among that small number are some of the very best, most groundbreaking, and most influential games of its era.

I can count on my fingers the number of games on it I'd ever want to revisit, but to this very day the likes of Banjo Kazooie/Tooie, Ocarina of Time, Mario 64, F-Zero X, and Starfox 64 hold a special place in my heart, and as I'm a quality over quantity kind of person, that alone is enough to make it my #5 top gaming console of all time.
