Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Best Nintendo-third party collaboration

Since we did a thread on what future ones you'd like to see, what do you think is the best game co-created by Nintendo and a third party so far?

Around the Network

Super Smash Bros 4 and Ultimate developed by Bandai Namco.

Bayonetta 2. Probably one of the best Nintendo games I've ever played.

Super Mario RPG.

This, hands down. Smash developed by Bandai Namco, best Nintendo-third party collaboration.

I mean... in other times i would say Pokemon developed by Game freak, but as a big pokemon fan... i have to say that Sword and shield are a big let down, big like gigantic.

Smash Ultimate

Bayonetta 2

F-Zero GX

Sin N Punishment Star Successor

Super Mario RPG

Bite my shiny metal cockpit!

Super Mario RPG. Still the best Mario RPG, and one of the best RPGs ever.

F-Zero GX is up there for me, still the best racing game I've ever played and a perfect blend on Sega zest and Nintendo polish.

I'm not sure how much input/involvement Nintendo had with Bayonetta 2 and The Last Story beyond being publisher, but I love them as well.

It's probably Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
I would pick Earthbound but that was developed by Ape and Hal.

Earthbound or Donkey Kong Country trilogy.

I also agree with those who mentioned Mario RPG.

Dragon Quest 9 is my favourite of recent times.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on the Switch, I think, which, while developed by Nintendo, relied heavily on contracted third party talent.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
