Second set of hints for these games:

#25

-The origin story of the dragon and the mad dog

-You get to run a real estate business, and a cabaret club

#23

-The End of the World is a literal wall splitting a continent in half

-Originally a Saturn exclusive title released only in Japan

#21

-A new class enrolls in a military academy

-First in a series of four games, set after the events of another trilogy of games within the same story continuity

#25 Sounds like a Yakuza game. As origin story Yakuza 0 maybe?

#21 As this is you, I guess it is a Legends of Heroes game. First in four? That may be Trails of Cold Steel.

Yes to both. Also, I do probably have more Trails games on my list than anyone else.

25. a) This MMO from a well known franchise managed to pass Everquest in total number of subscribers.  Of course, about a year after the game's North American launch World of Warcraft was released and completely dwarfed it in popularity.
b) Originally, combat in this game revolved around parties performing skillchains together.  After the success of WoW, this game changed a lot of it's mechanics and skillchains became less important.
c) Races in this game include Elvaan, Mithra, Galka, Tarutaru, and Hume.
d) Some fans of this well known series were upset that this game had a number in the title, because every previous entry was a single player game.

24.  a) In this 80's arcade game you can shoot monsters or drop apples on them.
b) This is the first of several arcade games developed by Universal using this same character.  You dig through dirt like Dig Dug, but you drop apples on the enemies instead of rocks.
c) The first successor to this game was Mr. Do's Castle.

Reposting hints that people haven't got:

30) The campaign sees you travel across Greece, Egypt and Scandinavia chasing a powerful and ambitious cyclops, whilst fighting alongside and against other mythical characters. In the expansion, you can play as Atlantis.

27) This sequel to a rebooting of a classic FPS series continues to add further RPG elements. The game also adds a spaceship that serves as your home base, and a 2v1 multiplayer mode where two humans fight an array of demons controlled by the third player. The developers of this game are very much considered the pioneers of the FPS genre.

Doom Eternal

26) Seeing this game's secret ending requires you to eat a bunch of umbilical cords, raising your level of perception so you can see the final boss. Along the way you'll have to fight a priest, a giant werewolf, a thunder dog, a spider, a wet nurse and a bunch of others.

Bloodborne

And some new ones:

25) The newest game from the Swedish developer now widely considered the masters of grand strategy

24) This series finally abandons its attempts to tie together an overarching plot in favour of telling a really cool story about a warrior in ancient Greece and his quest for revenge.

23) A developer best-known for a highly acclaimed action platformer series and a less highly acclaimed FPS series try their hand at creating a game about one of the world's most beloved superheroes

Spiderman (PS4)

22) The first game in this series was a very well-crafted linear FPS; since then the franchise has been open-world but this game (the third) stands head and shoulders above the rest.

Far Cry 3

21) Three games in, the hero finally fulfils his quest for revenge, but feels that something is missing - setting up a much more cerebral and emotional sequel, further up the list.

God of War 3

All correct :)

Hint time:

27) A couple of years back I would have expected a sequel to this game to have been announced by now, but it seems another sequel from the same developer is happening first.

Hint 2: That "other sequel" has consistently been my top pick in the "Most wanted (insert month)" threads.

26) "Where is _________ 2?" is something many fans were asking this year (_________ being the name of this game).

Hint 2: _________ 2 released over a decade ago

25) Deadly rabbit puns

24) The subtitle "Attack of the Clones" would also fit this second entry

23) This game has the name of the console it was released for in the title

Haven’t played it, but I think I know it now; Final Fantasy XI

Something Wii. Let’s start with Wii Sports.
