392k Switch hardware?!??!?! WTF I did not see that one coming

Wow! I kept telling myself Animal Crossing couldn't be as big as people were saying it was... I stand corrected.

1. Animal Crossing is very likely the biggest opening ever for a game in Japan.
Current record holder is Pokemon Black&White at 2.637M
New Horizons needs a digital share of only 29% to beat that.

2. Switch hardware week is the biggest ever in Japan, even bigger than launch

3. This huge hardware week also boosts Switch hardware total over Wii LTD numbers.

I think your math is off, the digital share would need to be around 42% to match 2.637 million. 29% would only read 2.425 million.

Digital ratio is based on total units, not only physical ones

1.88 / 2.637 = 0.71 * 100 = 71 - 100 = -29
29% is correct.

The Switch passed the Wii total sales in Japan. 12.750.000

Making it number 10 of the best selling systems in Japan.

Japan alone outselling the totality of everyone else this week is now assured. Do you think it's possible for the Switch to reach a million in sales worldwide this week alone ?

Ehh, aren't those 2 things incompatible?

I'd expect you to be right about the first one, so I don't think we'll see it reach 800k, but maybe close. We'll know soon.
