Incredible week for Nintendo.

What's Switch's next big release over there?

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Animal Crossing is slaying with those sales.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

You should know, you were the Japanese release list guy.

I expect the next big thing will be a game announced on a direct otherwise it will be FF chronicles.

I'm guessing the yearly pokemon games. Unless they announce Tomodoachi life 2 on Switch or the next Monster Hunter.

Yeah, those are the huge ones. Hopefully we get a clear picture of what 2020 will look like for Nintendo, so far it's been nothing but silence.

In like half a year. According to amazon Japan August 31st.

Wait what!? I thought it was coming out in the near term, it's not that big of a game either. Is there really nothing there in Japan lined up for the Switch for the next 5 months?

I think your math is off, the digital share would need to be around 42% to match 2.637 million. 29% would only read 2.425 million.

Digital ratio is based on total units, not only physical ones

Oops, had a bit of a brain fart on this one haha.

AC is the biggest series in Japan right now with 5m sales average, with the added momentum of NS and the situation of combined home and portable userbases it has a good chance of catching and overtaking Pokemon G/S' total sales of 7.2m LT which would make it the second best selling game in the region first is Pokemon R/B/G at 10.2m which would be quite a target to beat but right now only AC has any kind of shot at hitting it.
