Biden is now the youngest male candidate left on the field. Let that sink in for a moment.

LOL, I wasn't aware of this, but it is true, nice pointing it out.

EDIT: Addendum to that: all male candidates are older than all female candidates.

An article from a reporter looking for Bloomberg-supporters in California after he dropped so much money into the state:

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/bloomberg-bet-big-on-california-it-might-not-pay-off/

If I can give you my personal highlights:

  • It was often a struggle to find someone who wasn’t paid to be there and willing to talk about their perspective on the record.
  • By the time I did stumble upon a diehard Bloomberg fan, waiting outside a Los Angeles soccer stadium for a get-out-the-vote event, it felt like I had sighted a rare bird in the wild."
  • I asked her what she would do if he won the nomination. She shook her head a little and said, “I would write in Warren.”

UPDATE: Busy weekend.  As we all probably know by now, Joe Biden has decidedly won the South Carolina primary as was anticipated.  In the wake of that contest are two candidates that have suspended their campaigns.  Tom Steyer and Pete Buttigieg. The former was largely expected but the latter was certainly surprising. The implications of the expected Biden win and the suspensions of those campaigns will become clear on Tuesday when 15 states and territories dole out 1,344 delegates on a single day.

Of note regarding Super Tuesday is that it will mark the first time Mike Bloomberg will be officially listed as a candidate on the ballots.  With 1,344 delegates on the line Tuesday compared to just 155 provided by the first 4 contests, things can change drastically.

It will be very interesting to see if Tulsi Gabbard hangs on after Super Tuesday.  Her funding and polling are at the very bottom of the remaining candidates and she hasn't qualified for any of the past 5 debates (appearing in just 4 of the 10 overall). Super Tuesday is also the day Minnesota votes which is Amy Klobuchar's home state.  It is believed that she will suspend her campaign if she does not perform overwhelmingly there.

Overall, we are down to 6 candidates from a total of 29.

I think the same could be said for Warren if she's not going to win even her home state

Warren has indicated that even if she doesn't win any states she plans on going towards the convention. She keeps repeating this over and over.

So now it is pretty clear the strategy the moderate side has had in mind the last few days. And Warren will probably not drop out too.

Now you see the distance they are willing to go to stop Bernie.

Wow, a last minute dropout before Super Tuesday - I wonder how much people will vote for her tomorrow without knowing she is out. Will she win MN despite being out?

EDIT: Also, newest polls indicate Biden surging in CA and TX.

urgh..... Honestly.... I don't even know what to say at this point. Hope is dying real fast for me and with everything else going on. I hope Bernie wins, but I'm pretty sure we're heading to a contested convention which leads to a Trump victory. Welp.

So, moderates are dropping out and endorsing fellow moderates? HOW DARE THEY?

Absolutely preposterous. Unheard of in the history of primaries.

I think Biden should be able to win Texas with Amy and Buttigieg dropping. Polls had him at like 2-4 points behind Bernie.
