Someone that owns a Switch along with another console could also decide to buy Super Mario Party first, in then RDR2/BO4

If I got a secondary console it would be PS4, there's like 8 games I really want to play on it. But there is no need as there are way too many games on Switch than I have time to play!
Well its more like Nintendo people had to go buy other systems because those games stop coming to Nintendo since Wii days.
Wonder what the story would tell if Nintendo systems continued to get support.
On another note a lot of people haven't bought a mario party game since the N64 days and somehow the franchise still sells well so I don't think it will flop.

Very true, it's safe to say that half of these "30%" also have a good gaming PC. I would be very surprised if 20% of switch owners are "switch only" users. |
*raises hand*
I do use my WiiU and 3DS too :P

As far as i am concerned there is no secondary console, PS4 provides me one kind of experience, Switch another. They stand equally

Nope

I buy Nintendo console right now for the exclusives but i certainly don't consider any of the my console to be primary or secondary. Whatever console i'm currently playing a game on is the primary console during that time period.

Agreed. I'd say there's very few switch only owners
That makes a lot of sense. First of all is Switch relatively new and the other two systems long on the market and Switch first and foremost targeted gamers. So it is likely you hit someone who owns a competing console. Secondly it makes sense with the game sales. In difference to earlier titles Nintendo built the Switch as a system you want to buy multiplatform titles for - because you can play them on the go.
I played my Switch far more than my PS4 last year, so last year my Switch was my primary console. This year I am playing my PS4 more, so my PS4 is my primary console.
Primary/secondary console is a subjective term that varies from person to person, games releasing at the time, and in the Switch's case, how much you can utilize portability at the time with multiplats.
What I am trying to say is, those who think Switch cannot be or is rarely a primary console are either looking at their own personal preferences and nothing else or straight up lying to themselves.
