Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Rumor: MS has marketing on Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield V, Borderlands 3, Splinter Cell, and more

everyone does it. Sony does it too

I don't like it because the gamer gets nothing out of it.

Oh I'm not saying it's stupid only because MS is doing it. It's just stupid period. If you can't get exclusive rights, don't bother. Save the money and develop your own games instead.

Except it doesn't work like that.

Your marketing budget =/ your development budget.

Not getting these marketing rights doesn't mean they would develop more games, it just means they would market other games, or the console, more.

According to ZhugEX "This is list is pretty much accurate. But not 100%. As far as I’m aware."

So this means all of these games will be announced on MS E3 conference this year?

Make sure sense MS would put their money on that since they have nothing else to show.

Nothing else to show where?

And since Sony also gets loads of these marketing deals, do they also have "nothing else to show"?

Console warz and logic rarely mix.

Words can't describe how ready I am for Borderlands 3.

Been ready for years. Hope it's better than Borderlands 2.

At least splinter cell isn't exclusive to xbox. I am good with that.

❌ Moderated ~ CGI

I'm not sure why this was banned/moderated? Is there any reasonable expectation that Microsoft will have a bunch to show at E3 other than multi-plats?

Predictable list, there's no real surprise there to be honest.

Actually, it won't do much since people will get it for their PS4 in most cases (2/3).

Anthem ... that is not something I would want to associate myself with if I was Microsoft. It's made by EA in another attempt at making a live service, full of microtransactions + obviously ripping off every futuristic shooter with RPG added elements (mainly Destiny).

Some are already announced but im pretty sure all these games will be shown at MS E3.

I said it before, Sony seems to get first choice on marketing deals but they can't get them all.

Plenty of other 3rd party content worth pushing.
