I mean..... I rather buy this than 1 2 Switch......

I rather buy this than the rumoured VR headset. Specially because I hate VR headsets xD.

Haven’t you seen Mario Kart VR yet?!

The car moves by making use of HD Rumble.
Looks like we will will know more in February.

And the labos use the IR camera in the right joy-con to send signals to the console.
That's why they open the cardboard toys to show those reflective white surfaces.

I gathered as much.

Nah, I guess that if VR becomes a thing, Nintendo will release its own VR headset. And that's fine, but I'll stay far away from it. I tried PSVR games in a friend's home and that was a pretty isolating experience. And I honestly felt ridiculous. I prefer to play with cardboard, by miles.

Here is an article that explains some things and goes into more specifics.

I doubt that each minigame will contain something like 40 hours of unque experiences on it, maybe barring Project Giant Robot, but even then...

I guess we will see.

Why is this the threshold?

I think our utility curves got messed up seriously by the iPhone. You can buy an iPhone with a 326 DPI screen for $349. Access to websites like YouTube and Twitch are effective free if you don't value the time you spend watching advertisements.

If you break it down to cost per hour of entertainment, nothing will ever, ever, ever beat a smart phone.

But people still spend money on other experiences. Families still load their cars up, drive across the country, and spend $100 a head for a 10 hour day at Disneyland. People still spend good money to hear live music when they could listen to better quality recordings for the cost of a Spotify membership.

I think we miss the forest through the trees a bit when we try to break everything down this way.

Because thats an easier way to examplify something.Especially through the internet, which communication is limited compared to face to face talks.

Plus its not like we dont have at least a small idea of how much a game is worth based on its content. If Labo ends up being great, then yeah, it may be a great value. If not, or rather what it haves its great, but it offers too little in terms of entertainment, then the price will be considered too steep.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

That's some hardcore Bayonetta 3 trolling.

I am not going to give you a better response when you serve something ridiculous.

I guess expecting a honest response from you was asking a bit too much.

That's certainly interesting. Doesn't look like it's for me, but it seems awesome anyway.

Can't wait to see it going literally up in flames ,arf.

I’ve been thinking about it and I think this is actually going to go over really well leading into the holidays and summer. A lot of potential. I’ve already invited a friend over to build them and play with me too. Lol.

Nintendo will sell the cardboard pieces separate too in case replacements are needed, but they can be reinforced with glue and tape. It encourages repairing and being interactive. Getting engaged and your hands dirty. It’s actually an extension of the basic Switch concept in general where you turn the controllers in different ways for different setups. Nintendo is trying to break our reservations and barriers down, and it might actually work. (This time)
