Witcher 3 is best game made to date, and I'd say that's pretty much an objective fact (with perhaps the caveat that multiplayer centric games are sort of in another category, because there are obviously people who don't care for single player and vice versa). It has everything. Top notch writing? Check. Amazing graphics? Check. Epic soundtrack? Check. Unbelievable atmosphere? Check. Outrageous amount of high quality content? Check. Simple, but engaging, satisfying gameplay? Check. Buckets and buckets of lore? Yep. More importantly however, it's not just a game that ticks all the right boxes. It all comes together in such a beautiful way. Everything weaves into a connect thread that makes sense, and feels right. You're not running around doing a bunch of shit that's entirely disconnected from the main plot, and who Geralt is as a character. It's all cohesive, and the world is entirely believable.
This game pretty much makes every other single player game trying to charge 60 bucks look like a total joke in comparison, and that's without the two expansions they sold for peanuts. The value this game gives you is off the charts. God help other developers if CDPR ever decide that to go along with everything they've already mastered, their games should also have various multiplayer modes that are of equal quality to those single player aspects.
Obviously, we all have our own personal favorites, and we like different styles of games. That's as it should be. For some of us our favorites are games that may not even be very recognised. Whatever your favorite games are, whatever is that one game that you replay over and over, and you wouldn't trade it for anything....that's totally valid. You know you, you know what you like. But Witcher 3 is the highest overall quality game that has been made to date.
