Considering all the previous post have been ofuscated by AI generation and editing, I don't think I honestly give any more f* in the matter until Nintendo states anything now.

Apparently, the leaker in question probably found the info in a nebulous leaker circle and decided to be the one to "clout chase" the glory of the reveal.

I kind of feel like they should just go all the way with what they've been doing with their DLC and go full Smash Kart. More potential new courses and a better potential roster. 

I bought Super Mario Party Jamboree from Target with a gift card. It should be coming in a few days.
It's interesting that Switch is probably the first platform to date where each Mario Party is considered better than the last. You look at critic and user scores and people tend to see Jamboree as better than Superstars which is considered better than Super Mario Party.

I saw the info about the dock this morning.

At this point, I'm still planning to pre-order and/or get the Switch day 1 or at least year 1 (depending on stock if I cant pre-order).

The day they confirmed b/c was the day I was 100% in.

The first party line up overall is just great on the Switch, hopefully they'll keep the momentum going forward.

Ehhh, I could see them going either way. But I think they should just leave the 'Smash Bros' crossover appeal to Smash Bros and just let Mario Kart be its own self-contained thing within the Mario universe. 

You know that saying of, "Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing?" The biggest reason why Smash Bros is so special and such a huge deal every time we get a new game is because of the concept of gaming's greatest legends and icons coming together to beat the shit out of each other. And the fact that it's the ONLY franchise where something like that is possible. If Nintendo did a "Smash Kart" or a "Smash Party" for all their franchises, then Smash Bros. wouldn't really be that special anymore.

I think Smash would still be plenty special. There is a big difference between a racing game, where characters are pretty much all skins, and a fighting game where each character actually brings their unique traits from their games. I don't feel like I would be the least bit less excited for Smash if they made a Nintendo themed cart racer.

And, I just don't see where else they go with the Mario Kart franchise. With the DLC, MK8 now has pretty much every course throughout the history of the game that's worth racing through. And virtually every Mario family character is already playable. Racing through Brinstar as Kirby just feels a lot more interesting than Bowser's Castle 10.
