I kind of feel like they should just go all the way with what they've been doing with their DLC and go full Smash Kart. More potential new courses and a better potential roster. 

Ehhh, I could see them going either way. But I think they should just leave the 'Smash Bros' crossover appeal to Smash Bros and just let Mario Kart be its own self-contained thing within the Mario universe. 

You know that saying of, "Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing?" The biggest reason why Smash Bros is so special and such a huge deal every time we get a new game is because of the concept of gaming's greatest legends and icons coming together to beat the shit out of each other. And the fact that it's the ONLY franchise where something like that is possible. If Nintendo did a "Smash Kart" or a "Smash Party" for all their franchises, then Smash Bros. wouldn't really be that special anymore.
