Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Best graphics on Wii U

I'd say BotW has the best graphics, but i'm inclined to give the title to XCX anyway. I find it more difficult to appreciate the tech behind a game when it results is significant and prolonged drops below 30fps. The double buffer really isn't helping.

What about Bayonetta 2?!

Honestly, I found that game on the ugly side.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

"Mario Kart 8" & "Captain Toad - Treasure Tracker"

These are the best looking games the Wii U has.

Breath of the Wild followed by Captain Toad Treasure Tracker.

Though Captain Toad is probably more 'stable' in it's visuals; BotW has higher highs, but also deeper lows.

Breath of the Wild does the most technically demanding stuff for the console, and it shows in its performance.

Yeah, but it is demanding through physics and openness, the question was about graphics.

I still think MK8 has the best visuals!

All of the answer in this thread seem about right yet there is no love for Pikmin 3... That game looked perfect along with Xenoblade Chronicles X.

BOTW is pretty and huge but the framerates...

Xenoblade X of course.

Some love for the 1080p boyz: Smash Bros., Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess.

WW's art is truly timeless and it looks phenomenal at 1080p. Twilight Princess is less so, but the image clarity is still outstanding in that game.

Xenoblade, Yoshi, Captain Toad, Mario Kart, Rayman, Trine, Bayonetta.
