And then another youtuber among 10.000 others that has an opinion about the Switch..... ok

I think I´m going to do a video with my opinion about Nintendo and its products as well. It seems that this subject is attracting a lot of people.

lmao? What is exactly innovative of it getting more power when it's docked? Detachable controllers?

All they did was take the Wii remotes and put it on a handheld, again, it's not innovative, it's actually something we've seen.

And just because it's the first to do something, doesn't mean it's innovative.

You need to review your definition of innovation.

They weren't even the first. There's a tablet from a company called Aikun that features the exact same "removable side controller feature" that was shown off at an expo in 2015. So unless your definition of "innovative" is applying other peoples ideas you can't even patent, then it can't be considered "innovative".

Hey man, whatever makes you feel better. He thought the Vita was a good piece of hardware in 2011 tho.

Vita was a great piece of hardware. And it's failure had nothing to do with that.

I know. I was referring to bringing up an irrelevant article that he wrote 6 years ago is hardly a valid response to what he's saying.

Even if there was reason to be optimistic at the time.

I'm not even sure "Wii changed the industry". It was red hot for a few years, but it's like saying Guitar Hero changed the industry ... not in the long term really.

As the console market is today and has been for a long time now, the regular Playstation and XBox are what make up most of the industry, it's like 2006-2010 may as well have not even happened.

Whereas the NES, SNES, and N64 are Nintendo's most revolutionary consoles in the long run as you can still see their influence on the overall market today everywhere you look ... you see the d-pad, you see the cross 4-button layout, you see rumble, and you see the analog stick eveywhere.

If you walked into a EB Games or Best Buy today from like 2004 or something you'd barely notice motion gaming at all because it's not really a big thing anymore.

I'd say that the Wii did change the industry. Without the Wii, we wouldn't have had Kinect or PS Move, and the efforts by all  publishers to make games to target outside traditional audiences.

While Kinect and Move are muted this generation, they're still used by the current consoles. Not to mention the incredible effect Wii had on the smartphone gaming sector.

Especially considering if you take 10 minutes to see what Colin has said about Nintendo before and since then, you'd see that he still considers himself a Nintendo fan first and foremost, and is quick to give Nintendo credit for a lot of the things he feels they do right all of the time.

Just take a look at this video from 2 years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dufz3-el4K4
Does that honestly sound like someone that even dislikes Nintendo, or is even a Playstation fanboy? Or does it sound like someone who loves Nintendo's games but isn't a fan at all of the direction Nintendo has taken the company in recent years? But let's just ignore what he said because he thought the vita was going to sell well.

A quote from one of his articles showing how the Vita will destroy the 3DS. "The Nintendo 3DS is certainly not going to take the Vita out with N64 ports and tired, worn series."

He is flat out dissing Nintendo games. Worn series's? That is talking about Nintendo games. It is purely about NIntendo's 1st party software. If the Switch had every 3rd party game under the sun, what would that matter to him? He already has a PS4/One S i'm sure. So he can already get those same games on his system. Why would he buy a switch to play those same games. You buy a switch for the NINTENDO games, which he calls tired, worn series'.

That to me is him no longer liking Nintendo's games.

Apparntly to many gamers when they "grow up" that means they need to play non-nintendo games. You s aid it yourself. You have to find the games you like elsewhere. I'm grown up and I do majority of my gaming on Nintendo consoles. So Nintendo grew up with me apparantly.

Well I guess you got lucky then. Only having a Nintendo console isnt even an option for me anymore.

I don't only have a Nintendo console. I also have a Xbox One S and a PC.

I'm just stating, that dissing Nintendo is ill-dissed. They haven't changed. KindaFunnyGames has. Be like dissing Cartoon Network for still showing cartoons and wondering why they don't air Game of Thrones. KindaFunny don't like cartoons anymore. Ok fine, change the channel. I still like me some cartoons, but I also watch HBO. I'm not gonna bash CN for not having mature content. I get my mature content elsewhere, always have.

And how many consoles do you know that can do that and provide a power boost when it's docked? How many of those have detachable controllers, motion control and HD rumble? Nintendo is the first mainstream console to do all of that. It's a pretty unique console and it definitely stands out compared to XBONE and PS4, for better or worse.

ROFL, i laughed more than I should have with this

I see your point. I just think Nintendo has such potential to reach a very large part the gaming community, but they seem to just do some half assed attempts to reach a few now and then. They never try very hard. If they really are satisfied with the audience they have, then they need to stop dropping their consoles after about 3-4 years.

Nintendo is doomed with the Switch.
