The prequels were considered huge successes when they first came out too. Just some food for thought.

Not true, The Phantom Menace has a 51 on metacritic and a 55% on rottentomatoes.

It got a 5/5 stars from Empire. Roger Ebert gave it 3.5/4 starts.

And it's 56% on RT. 55% on RT is still 55% of people who liked it. Realistically, that should have been 0% - it is just a horrid movie.

Is a terrible movie, but overall the critical reception was very poor, specilly compared to this one.

It was but it was boosted by the Star Wars effect which is why instead of a fraction of critics not liking the movie, the majority did. I don't doubt that a somewhat similar thing is happening for this movie.

It's better be. With all the annoying commercials we had to deal in the last few weeks and still going on today. I reached the point that I hate the Star Wars main theme. Hopefully the movie will change this.

This, I forget how much they overplay themes when a movie comes out.  Makes you kind of hate it and identify it with commercialism.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

It was good but not great.

The movie is basically a copy of previous Star Wars movies (every bigger scene has already been filmed within the same universe), thus having veeeery little originality. I mean even Epsiode 1 introduced pod racing and it did that pretty well.
Main villain is one of the worst in the series though. Laughed my ass off how pathetic he looked without the mask. And also he's basically just a copy as well.

In the end, this film would've been a really good reboot of the the original trilogy, but as a sequel it's just more of the same.

I've edited the spoilerific username.

Signature goes here!

I've loved it. Also, how amazing is Kylo Ren. I missed a tri-dimensional villain in Star Wars, and they delivered in that. I think it deserves all the praise it could get.

I think he's the most pathetic villain the Star Wars universe ever had. As a character not that bad but as a villain I can't take him seriously.
