I really don't care much about VR games because VR games are a LONG ways off. But VR porn? Yes!

Sony's Virtual Boy is on its way and I'm here for it.
I see no need for VR gaming. It's just not user friendly enough. True, it's much better than it used to be but I don't think it's ready yet. However, I might be proven wrong if a good horror game comes out for it. I think the horror genre would benefit most from VR technology.

I hope GT7 supports it, that would make it a must buy for me. Finally in car view that makes sense, instead of feeling like you're driving from the back seat.
ouch rip sony vr if thats true.
way too much for the average consumer imo

This. GT7 support would make this a must have.

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality are both methods of Reality Augmentation. PSVR hasn't been shown to be standalone. |
PSVR has a separate devkit though, and if the PS5 or whatever can run games made with that devkit, it'll be enough. There's no way PSVR can build up a good library without bc. And I've never heard the term "Reailty Augmentation", and Google gives me nothing, and if it is a term, it doesn't make sense that Virtual Reailty is a type of Reality Augmentation, as that is extremely counter intuitive.

VR was always going to be "niche" as it isn't what is driving the sales of the PS4, it's just an accessory. I think Sony should market PSVR as a premium device for €400 or more. Really showcase it as a luxury item and creating a demand for people who want 'cutting edge' technology and somewhat exclusiveness.
If the price was set at say €200, the same amount of people would be willing to buy it(just my guess, but I think the people who are willing to pay 200 are willing to pay 400 and that there aren't too many people willing to pay 200 but not 400 for PSVR) basically cutting any real revenue Sony could make, and making the device itself look a 'cheap' relatively speaking.

Reality augmentation simply means augmentation of percieved reality. Virtual reality creats an artificial view, Augmented reality simply changes the actual view, its not an official term but simply a description of what both VR and AR does.
PSVR has a devkit like Oculus does, all it does is change how the game outputs video and audio, it can be used to make its own games, the machine the headset is tied to do does the actual processing. That is assuming PRVR works like morpheus does, which is likely since they are similar devices./
PRVR probably could work with any PS4 game natively, but that would raise the price because it would have to process video for each eye and audio meant for TV as well as motion controls. Hence the devkit, which makes the games able to do that so the PSVR doesnt have to worry about that.

I have to disagree here. If it were a PC compatible device than I could see it (I think that's how the HTC Vive is going to be marketed) but the PS4 just isn't going to be able to provide the experience necessary to warrant such a high price.
Sonys best bet is so try and sell PSVR as the most accessible of the high end VR headsets. I'm still betting on a price of between $250-$350 depending on what's included. The Rift will likely come in between $450-$500, and the Vive will likely run nearly $600.
This is just my guess of course.
