SMM wont outsell TW3, if you wanna bet you know where to find me. |
Hint: take a look at the sales of 2D Mario games on the DS, Wii, 3DS and Wii U.
Oh and SMM will do it at full price while I'll buy TW3 for $10 next year. ;)

Not to mention the few 3rd party offerings like Lego Dimensions, Skylanders Supercharged, Rodea the Sky Soldier, Just Dance, Guitar Hero Live, Minecraft Story Mode, and then of course there are the black sheep Nintendo games, Amiibo Festival, Devil's Third (NA) and Mario Tennis. And I do suspect we'll see other 3rd party games being released either this holiday or early next year, like Walking Dead (S1+2), regular Minecraft and whatever that Tantalus port is. Definitely not a drought. |
Check the link below. (note to Admins: it's not really porn please don't ban me!)

Not yet, but it was listed on GAME's website with a scheduled release of October 30th, so if that's true then I would expect an announcement soon enough.
But I expect it to happen anyways. With the recent announcement of Minecraft Story Mode coming to the Wii U, I just don't see TellTale stopping there. If they're porting one game they might as well do their most popular one. I also expect to see regular Minecraft because of that, just because it makes sense.

I'm sorry but why exactly are you here?

Yea, I pondered about TWD game in another thread and was replied with a link. You would think they would announce it soon. Maybe they are waiting to announce it closer to Halloween? No clue. You would think they would be willing to port it over to the Wii U considering it is on almost every platform now. I'd almost double dip but I'll probably just stick to PC and pick up the second one with the little girl taking over the story on Steam.

Technically here on Europe it had:
- Captain Toad
- Kirby RC
- Mario Party 10
- Splatoon
- The legend of Kay
- Disney Infinity 3.0
- Devil´s Third
- Lego Jurassic Park
- Yoshi´s Woolly World
Those are 9 retail releases, not 4, it´s a drought, but not as bad as you want to make it.
And for the rest of the year:
- Super Mario Maker
- Lego Dimensions
- Minecraft Story Mode
- Skylanders Superchargers
- Shovel Knight
- Just Dance 2016
- Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams
- Star Fox Zero
- Animal Crossing Amiibo Party
- Rodea: The Sky Soldier
- Fatal Frame V
- Guitar Hero Live
- Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash
- Xenoblade Chronicles X
(And also SMTXFE on Japan)
Those are other 14 retail releases and there are more, so stop with the hyperboles, there is an obvious lack of third parties on WiiU but there are games, and also this year is specially good for the Eshop: Shantae the Pirate´s Curse, Affordable Space Adventures, Don´t Starve, Art Academy: Home Studio, Freedom Planet, Gundam Clive HD Collection, Badlands, Xeodrifters, The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Runbow and the upcoming Kerbal Space Program, Year Walk, Hive Jump, Shantae Half Genie Hero and the amazing Fast Racing Neo. Also this year Nintendo has released the greatest Wii games on the Eshop like Metroid Prime Trilogy, Mario Galaxy 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles, for only 20$ and even 10$ the first week (Xenoblade and MPT cost like 100$ on internet)and also Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby Epic´s Yarn, Sin and Punishment 2, etc, so maybe you can´t find the latest blockbuster on WiiU but that doesnt mean WiiU owners have nothing to play.

What's good about this is that it's apparently a combo pack, though. I think it coming with both seasons would make up for the late release a bit. I'd definitely pick it up since I haven't played S2 yet, nor the DLC.
Edit: But yeah Steam is a much cheaper alternative so that's understandable.
