This whole thread is trolling. Complete with moving goalposts and ignoring of facts.

I don't know how to troll but you sure know how to spam by making an irrelevant one line comment. Don't you think I haven't already read the previous commnets by other posters? Also what facts am I ignoring haven't I already clarified what I meant? The Wii U being worst in respect to the big 4 companies( Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft and Sega.) Yet you and the other posters seem to ignore what I said and keep on latching to the title of the thread.

@SanAndreasX

You haven't answered the question I stated: Which console made by the big 4 companies( Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft or Sega) is worst than the Wii U? Instead you are using a red herring fallacy by keep on bringing the title when I have already clafiried that. Also it seems you haven't even taken the time to read my response. Aren't you doing anything you can to defend the Wii U? Aren't all those companies(Atari, Phillips) already out of bussiness? It seems I have proven my case.

"Clarified it." After the fact, after many, many people called you out. Nice try, but no. And I did even humor you and answer your query with the moved goalposts a few pages back.

I don't know if you've been keeping up, but Sega is pretty much done in the console space, so they're no different than Atari in that regard. Sega is pretty much a merchandising label for pachislot manufacturer Sammy. They make Total War on PC and Sonic mobile games now.  Maybe they have a couple of properties on life support in Japan. And again, Atari was a big dog a lot longer than Sega was. Sega was never number one.

Because the title of the thread is the summarization of your entire post. You're also saying that the GCN is the worst console before it which makes no sense. You're conveniently forgetting the Virtual Boy, The 32X, the Sega CD, and the very first Nintendo console. Not to mention the Vita and the OG Xbox. Your title makes no sense when you're trying to compare it to the big 4. Which there is no 4. Sega died years ago as a manufacturer. Change your title.

Ah gotcha! Sure it felt pretty serious to Amstrad when they bled lots of money on it! Hahah.

Yeah, and I suppose that Trip Hawkins, Panasonic, Goldstar/LG, and Philips were spending millions of dollars on their consoles just because they had too much money and needed to get rid of it somehow. :)

Apparently Atari doesn't count, either, because they're out of the hardware business. Sega somehow counts even though they're also out of the hardware business. But don't worry. The goalposts are bound to stop moving sooner or later. :)

Which means we are deciding about the worst console of all time... but restricted to consoles that were not unsuccessful enough to push the constructor outside of the game business. That fortunately exclude Bandai, Phillips, Panasonic/LG, Atari, Amstrad and SNK. We should also exclude the virtual boy, just because.

The OP is also conveniently ignoring Atari, which had the first smash-hit home video game (Pong) and the first smash-hit home console with a library of interchangeable game media as well, just because they're out of the hardware business. Yet Sega counts somehow, despite the fact that they died as a console manufacturer a long time ago and are well on their way to dying completely as a console software manufacturer? Did Sega even have an E3 booth this year?

The goalposts just won't stop moving on this one.

But even going by that, Atari had a hugely successful console that held more than half of the market at its peak, and was able to put out three more consoles and a handheld before they dropped out. Atari was making billions for Warner Communications before the 1983 crash.  So Atari would still count in this scenario.

I really dont think so. Not in a world were virtual boy was a thing. Not to mention all the others people have already listed. Heck we recently had a news article about that fraudulent console that released as just a keyboard in the end, talk about worst console ever! Also I don't own a Ouya, but Im going to go on a limp here and say that the WiiU probably offers the better experience.
I feel like the WiiU wil be remembered in a similar vein to the Gamecube and the Dreamcast. An underrated console that underperformed saleswise, had some really great software to back it up and tried to do new things, but ultimately failed due to the company misshandleing it.
To me personally it's one of the best consoles, because I'm one of the (seemingly) few people that actually love the gamepad. I grew up mostly on handhelds and I'm slightly shortsighted so to play on the big screen I need to put on my glasses (which make me slightly dizzy because I almost never wear them) and sit somwhere upright sort of in a fixed spot. I just prefer the flexebility and comfort the gamepad offers me. It's very convienient.
I hope they put backwards compatibility with the gamepad as a controller and off-Tv-play as an option into their next console. No need to force it on people who dont want it, but I'd miss it if it was gone.

That's right ! Anyway, his point is to prove that the Wii U is the worst console ever, and because that doesn't make any sense, we are required to rule out any other console that could be considered worst than the Wii U.

Of the consoles I owned, it is the second last, 360 being the last. However that does not mean I did not enjoy either. Actually right now ps4 is second last, but PS4 should jump up to like 3rd or 4th best when generation is done.

I didn't count handhelds, if I did I would write PSP and PSTV (Even if this isn't handheld) worse than 360. Again like to point I enjoyed everything I bought.

My order

SNES>PSX>N64>PS2>PS3>Wii>GC>WiiU>360>PS4 (I hope I didn't forget anything I own)

Handhelds is DS>GBC>3DS>PSP>PSTV (will eventually buy PSVita and GBA)

After next year I imagine PS4 being ahead of Wii U and the year after that being ahead of PS3.

But like I said, I don't buy consoles I don't like. Why would you....
