I really dont think so. Not in a world were virtual boy was a thing. Not to mention all the others people have already listed. Heck we recently had a news article about that fraudulent console that released as just a keyboard in the end, talk about worst console ever! Also I don't own a Ouya, but Im going to go on a limp here and say that the WiiU probably offers the better experience.
I feel like the WiiU wil be remembered in a similar vein to the Gamecube and the Dreamcast. An underrated console that underperformed saleswise, had some really great software to back it up and tried to do new things, but ultimately failed due to the company misshandleing it.
To me personally it's one of the best consoles, because I'm one of the (seemingly) few people that actually love the gamepad. I grew up mostly on handhelds and I'm slightly shortsighted so to play on the big screen I need to put on my glasses (which make me slightly dizzy because I almost never wear them) and sit somwhere upright sort of in a fixed spot. I just prefer the flexebility and comfort the gamepad offers me. It's very convienient.
I hope they put backwards compatibility with the gamepad as a controller and off-Tv-play as an option into their next console. No need to force it on people who dont want it, but I'd miss it if it was gone.
