Third party support is weak. That's fair.

First party support on the other hand blows Gamecube out of the water in my opinion. Sure, the new Zelda game has yet to come, but right now, they say it's coming. The Wii U doesn't have a Metroid game, but you can buy the Prime Trilogy on eshop for a convenient price. Splatoon is a great game of which the Gamecube has nothing to compare, Super Mario Maker will be another great game that the Gamecube will have nothing to compare (in fact 2D platformer support on Wii U is fantastic, which may not be important to you but is important to some). To say that Wii U doesn't have a "strong" 3D Mario game is objectively wrong. Super Mario 3D World is objectively a fantastic game, and if you disagree then you are factually wrong. Super Mario Sunshine on the other hand, which you quote, is actually quite flawed, if still good. Smash and Mario Kart (the best Mario Kart ever) are ready and present complete with continuing support. Backwards compatibility is obviously better than Gamecube - not just because it can play Wii games but Virtual Console and also just controller backwards compatibility. I haven't had to buy a single new controller for Wii U (save for the Gamepad which came with the console) and yet I can still play 8 player Smash if I want to.

This all leads back to where I began. No.


You state that like it is a fact. I don't understand how so many gamers have zero appreciation for Sega consoles. The Saturn had Panzer Dragoon Saga, Radiant Silvergun, Dragon Force, Guardian Heroes, Nights into Dreams and so many other classic games that I would certainly put it in the same league as the GameCube.

You have got to be kidding me. You have got to be joking by excluding any console not manufactured by "the big four" (you mean five right?). If you are going to be so selective then why not have an appropriate thread title? As far as the worst console between those companies I'd say that you're splitting hairs when comparing systems like the GameCube, Wii U, Master System,  Saturn and potentially the One.

hey, thats not fair, even if the saturn isnt the future of sega, its  not as bad as the one.

problem with OP is how can be the Wii U be the worst of all time with an asterisk. lol
hardware - certainly most hardcore nintendo gamers like the Wii U than Wii. software - quality of Wii U games are good. but still due to Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 and JRPGs that Wii got, Wii for me has better software as of the moment.

but comparing to other consoles Saturn i believe. Wii U is better. but this is a massive trolling thread and the title is misleading to begin with.

each console owners that is least popular who really defend their consoles which is fine.  but just change the topic title if you really want credibility on this thread discussion.

Are you serious? The Vita has Gravity Rush(new IP), Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Persona 4. Just with a quick google check you can see those games and tonsothers. The Wii U? Mass Effect(port) and a bunch of the same old Kart, Smash and Mario 3D land(side scroller not even in the levels of galaxy or sunshine) Nintendo has so little faith in the Wii U that they even release the same game(smash 4) for the DS to not lose money. I think you truly need to wake up and accept that nintendo needs to change their strategy, they messed up this generation. Most of the games you list like fire emblem and xenoblade you could pretty much get the same experience by buying a DS. 

 

Going by your logic, you could get the same Uncharted experience by buying a PS3. Which is why the Vita failed. Nobody wanted a handheld to play games that would be better served by playing them on a PS3. For that matter, why would I want to play Xenoblade Chronicles X on a 3DS instead of a Wii U?

I don't need to wake up to anything. Nintendo needs to change their strategy. There was no denial of that on my part. Doesn't change the fact that your thread was fallacious at the outset and you started moving the goalposts when people called you out on it.

Uncharted: Golden Abyss was exclusive to Vita. Xenoblade Chronicles is not exclusive to 3DS. So they are not at all the same situation.

Care to take another stab at that?

Hence why I used the qualifier "potentially". The One has the potential to become as good as the GameCube or Saturn even though it isn't there yet.

I don't know how to troll but you sure know how to spam by making an irrelevant one line comment. Don't you think I haven't already read the previous commnets by other posters? Also what facts am I ignoring haven't I already clarified what I meant? The Wii U being worst in respect to the big 4 companies( Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft and Sega.) Yet you and the other posters seem to ignore what I said and keep on latching to the title of the thread.

You haven't answered the question I stated: Which console made by the big 4 companies( Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft or Sega) is worst than the Wii U? Instead you are using a red herring fallacy by keep on bringing the title when I have already clafiried that. Also it seems you haven't even taken the time to read my response. Aren't you doing anything you can to defend the Wii U? Aren't all those companies(Atari, Phillips) already out of bussiness? It seems I have proven my case.
