Ah gotcha! Sure it felt pretty serious to Amstrad when they bled lots of money on it! Hahah.

Yeah, and I suppose that Trip Hawkins, Panasonic, Goldstar/LG, and Philips were spending millions of dollars on their consoles just because they had too much money and needed to get rid of it somehow. :)
Apparently Atari doesn't count, either, because they're out of the hardware business. Sega somehow counts even though they're also out of the hardware business. But don't worry. The goalposts are bound to stop moving sooner or later. :)

Which means we are deciding about the worst console of all time... but restricted to consoles that were not unsuccessful enough to push the constructor outside of the game business. That fortunately exclude Bandai, Phillips, Panasonic/LG, Atari, Amstrad and SNK. We should also exclude the virtual boy, just because.

But even going by that, Atari had a hugely successful console that held more than half of the market at its peak, and was able to put out three more consoles and a handheld before they dropped out. Atari was making billions for Warner Communications before the 1983 crash. So Atari would still count in this scenario.

That's right ! Anyway, his point is to prove that the Wii U is the worst console ever, and because that doesn't make any sense, we are required to rule out any other console that could be considered worst than the Wii U.
