Honestly it didnt.... the best thing on the PSP was all the RPGs.... and the Vita has a crap ton of RPGs.
Its just its sales that are dissapointing, I dont think the games on it are.

Because unlike Nintendo management, Sony management told us beforehand to have realistic expectations for the Vita during e3:

Well there are 5 stages, there is 1. Denial, 2. Anger, 3. Bargaining, 4. Depression and 5. Acceptance. Vita fans have been on Stage 5 from before the "legacy device" statement.

Well since I don't use handhelds at all, whatever happens in that market has no effect on me.
Honestly even without much shown at E3, the Vita is still getting amasing games from 3rd parties.
The situation isnt the same for the Wii U, if nintendo isnt showing it any good games, chances are its not getting any good games.
