Forums - Sony - Why are people not angry about Vita?

Vita place is TGS, not E3.
People didn't get sad because they were expecting nothing.

I came here to say this.  Vita fans watch Tokyo Games Show for new Vita games, not E3.  After that, news of Vita localizations filter out as they happen and aren't held back for a western press conference.  The same for smaller games appearing on the Vita, they are usually announced on Playstation Blog.

That's a realistic answer.

Now back to your regularly scheduled snarking.

Ehh because vita gets third party support. It gets more games than the wiiu its a fact

No, just no.

Yes its the truth the vita gets more games than the wiiu

I'm happy they admit that they don't care about Vita anymore and not saying we care about vita and no game except indie are coming.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Its just most of them are japanese games, with ports that are barely known outsides of asia and niche markets in the west.

They dont get insanely hyped or branded names like Mario.

That doesnt make them bad games though, seriously if all you want is good rpgs, the vita owns the Wii U by miles and miles.

It sounds like you are literally trying to start some shit, even though you claim not to, like "how dare you not be angry and jumping ship!" Personally, I just got over it and I don't go whining and bitching on the entire internet every time I don't get my favorites toys. The PSVita failed to live up the PSP, what more can I do?

No I didn't.  I was legitimately curious wether people were upset about the lack of Vita related news and why/why not. Didn't you read how I said that I disaprove of people overreacting, all that talk of jumping ship etc?

But ok cool, I got my answer, it seems people simply already accepted it or simply prefer focus on ps4 (Edit: and also that they expect Vita news other times, TGS)

Since this is a thread actively inviting comparisons between Vita fans expectations of E3 and WiiU fans expectations of E3, I'll post my observations:

- Vita fans have been burned by E3 2012; E3 2013 and E3 2014. Lesson learnt, somewhere within there. WiiU fans had a comparatively good E3 last year.

- Vita is being supported in the west by indies and localization houses. WiiU is being supported by Nintendo. Indies and localization houses do not have press conferences (or otherwise) at E3. Nintendo do.

- E3 is about spectacle. Spectacle on a handheld is difficult to convey. Less difficult on a home console.

- E3 is an American event. USA is one of the stronger (comparatively) markets for WiiU. Vita is dead in the USA.

- Nintendo seem to keep danging carrots in front of WiiU fans i.e. "here's Zelda! ... at least 2 years from launch". Sony have been frustratingly honest about their intent with Vita i.e. "no more AAA games".

I'd imagine for the majority of Vita fans, a combination of the first and last bullet points are why no-one is bothered at this point.

I think pretty much everyone is fully accepting that Vita's crap sales have had a role to play in what support it will get going forward.  For some reason, Nintendo fans couldn't (until this E3 apparently) see what WiiU's crap sales (aside from Amiibo figures) have done to it.

This. Nothing else to add, close the thread now.

You are agreeing too much with ne lately bro.

I'm watching you.

1. Vita still gets a lot of games.

2. People don't really care since handheld gaming is dead.

We already knew Sony didnt care about the Vita anymore.

We got XSEED supporting it, so we were kinda happy with that. Its all we can expect at this point and its what makes it worth it.

Wasn't sure this was arguable. Pretty sure there are more Vita games in development than 3DS. At least I know it's true for Japan.
