Since this is a thread actively inviting comparisons between Vita fans expectations of E3 and WiiU fans expectations of E3, I'll post my observations: - Vita fans have been burned by E3 2012; E3 2013 and E3 2014. Lesson learnt, somewhere within there. WiiU fans had a comparatively good E3 last year. - Vita is being supported in the west by indies and localization houses. WiiU is being supported by Nintendo. Indies and localization houses do not have press conferences (or otherwise) at E3. Nintendo do. - E3 is about spectacle. Spectacle on a handheld is difficult to convey. Less difficult on a home console. - E3 is an American event. USA is one of the stronger (comparatively) markets for WiiU. Vita is dead in the USA. - Nintendo seem to keep danging carrots in front of WiiU fans i.e. "here's Zelda! ... at least 2 years from launch". Sony have been frustratingly honest about their intent with Vita i.e. "no more AAA games". I'd imagine for the majority of Vita fans, a combination of the first and last bullet points are why no-one is bothered at this point.
I think pretty much everyone is fully accepting that Vita's crap sales have had a role to play in what support it will get going forward. For some reason, Nintendo fans couldn't (until this E3 apparently) see what WiiU's crap sales (aside from Amiibo figures) have done to it.
