Forums - Gaming Discussion - Why are so many games skipping the XBOX ONE?

We also know that SE was not happy with TR sales and MS financial help convinced to make a new one =p. Moneyhatting/Funding in the end is the same only fanboys love to find a big difference between the two and fight about it.

Again further misinformation. This is getting out of hand. SE were not happy with TR sales after the first month the game was out. They made one statement publicly then and people took it and used it for years as if SE remained unsatisfied with sales. Not only were they happy with how well TR ended up selling but it exceeded their expectations. Here's a link so that this misinformation can stop spreading

wow i dont know risen 3 will be released for ps4^^

Its because of the market share. ps4 games sell much better. The developer dont have the ressources/dont want to support multiple system if they could magae to just support one.

Same with wii u. Similar to xbox 360 but nobody cares.

Sony has better relations with 3rd parties and indies (wasn't MS criticized for their indie contracts?)
PS4 has almost double the install base worldwide
PS4 is destroying X1 in Japan
PS4 is more powerful

etc

I think its more like Sony is really going out of their way to get indie support after pushing many away on PS3. X1 still gets plenty of indie support inspite of what you been lead to believe.

PS4 is doing relatively well in Japan compared to other platforms. But "destroying" implies its a bigger success there than it actually is. Japan is moving away from home consoles.

you basically listed all Playstation exclusives since... forever?

Magicka 2 - sequel to PC exclusive game.

Arcania - sequel to 3 PC exclusives; remake of a PS3/360/PC game.

Onechanbara - had entries on PS3/360/Wii last gen.

Risen 3 - original was PC/360; sequel was PS3/360/PC.

Nobunaga's Ambition - has released on pretty much every platform under the sun.

Samurai Warriors - went Nintendo-exclusive for a while (Wii then 3DS)

At least if we're saying things like this, make sure to do a little research.

OT: Everyone else has basically covered it but niche stuff will likely target the best userbase.  Ease of PS4 development compared to PS3 helps.  PS4 has a stronghold in Europe so anything targeting that audience (i.e. ARPG's developed in Europe) will likely go exclusive.  Same with Japanese stuff.

The vast majority of those games are Japanese. While worldwide it probably would make sense for them to go multiplat, in Japan itself, which is the priority for smaller Japanese devs, the Xbox One might as well not even exist so it does make sense really.

Bet Shiken that COD would outsell Battlefield in 2018. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8749702

Must be a joke thread. Nobody cares for any of these games. Keep the shovelware to other platforms.

Even then it was only ever a 2 year timed exclusive. The main series has never appeared on a handheld and the spinoff that did appear on 3DS actually released the same year that the PS3 got its improved version of Samurai Warriors 3.

And the second spinoff that released on 3DS the year after? :P

Regardless, it's not a "Playstation exclusive since forever" which is what I was responding to.

Well, microsoft will always have the last remnant, no matter how much the japs want it on ps3.

Yeah fair enough, it hasn't been PS exclusive forever actually it had never been until recently. #4 is the first entry to actually be PS exclusive.
