Most of the people I see complaining about a lack of voice chat in Nintendo games don't even play Nintendo games anyway. Makes for very silly arguments and threads.

This. Most complaints about Nintendo are by non Nintendo users.

Pretty much like the youtubers that cry about Nintendo policies don't play/make videos of Nintendo games.

Just another excuse for badmouthing for the sake of it...

Nothing Skype or some over VOIP service can't fix.

Could it be they aren't Nintendo users because of the reason for the complaints?  Shocker.

But the 'non ninty' argument is a load of bollocks anyway.

Or is it "the 'non ninty' argument is a load of bollocks anyway" is bollocks anyway. Which one is the "right opinion"???

Glad to see Nintendo fans actually faulting Nintendo for something instead of bending over and spreading cheeks.

I think the best option would be to have voice chat with a mute option, as some people here are saying. It doesn't cost a lot to Nintendo to do that. It's not laziness, they don't want that option on the game.

That makes me wonder if voice chat in the game would be very useful. If you see some games in the ranked online mode, it's about conquer one tiny little area in the map. Basically, you die, you jump to that area immediately and try to conquer it. It's not a very strategic mode. It's very chaotic and fast, nothing similar to other online shooter games like Battlefield, for example.

With that in mind, I'm just saying that maybe they are creating the online modes having in mind that Splatoon doesn't have voice chat, making a fast, chaotic and fun game, instead of a more strategic, "hardcore" experience.

I'm not saying that it wouldn't be nice to have voice chat with a mute option. That's, for me, the optimal solution. I'm just wondering about the game online mode design.

You clearly weren't on the internet when the Wind Waker was revealed. Or Metroid: Other M.

So let's please drop the charade that Nintendo fans accept everything Nintendo does.

I could say the same about the people buying broken games like Assasins Creed: Unity.

Its the devs game if they dont want voice chat in it thats up to them. If a game not having voice chat is a turn off for then dont buy the game

Games like AC Unity are multiplatform and are so broad and have such massive brand appeal it wouldn't really affect sales. It would affect sales of the NEXT AC game. Especially seeing as they are so front loaded they get most sales before people know of the issues and the droves of parents buying it don't know about the issues.

When you get to the point of fans defending selling a handheld without a charger then you've reached facepalm territory. (everyone has a micro USB cable but Smartphones STILL come with a charger).
