Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo games release dates disaster

They delay games when they are not ready. If they release them anyway then you'll just get a broken game that takes months to be patched. Sometimes those games are never fully patched. I want a working game when it's released. Some gamers should learn some patience or widen their taste in games to give them more to play throughout the year.

If that's true then they shouldn't announce a release date or release window in the first place. It just pisses everyone off.

So we're taking a promotional image issued by Nintendo of America as a binding statement of when Nintendo's (primarily Japanese) development studios will release games?

Good to know. The Zelda delay is the only big disappointment for me. I'm still expecting Star Fox and Xenoblade this year, but I think we're looking at Q4.

Well this is even worse than Sony´s release schedule. Got to give credits to MS on making deadlines

But at what cost?

20gbs of your downloads quota lol.

Doesn't matter what the release date is. It's just an estimated time of release. People shouldn't be getting pissed off about it.

When they dont, people get pissed at Nintendo for being too secretive, it's a lose-lose for Nintendo.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

This is a major reason why Nintendo needs to unify their platforms. Design games for one platform that's available in 2-3 form factors (portable, tablet, console). Here is the lineup of Nintendo-published titles this year (North American dates).

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D-February 13
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse-February 20
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars-March 5
Codename S.T.E.A.M.-March 13
Fossil Fighters: Frontier-March 20
Mario Party 10-March 20
Boxboy!-April 2
Pokemon Rumble World-April 8
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D-April 10
Puzzles & Dragons Z+Super Mario Edition-May 22
Splatoon-May 29
Yoshi's Woolly World
Mario Maker
Fatal Frame: Oracle of the Sodden Raven
Project Giant Robot
Project Guard
Xenoblade Chronicles X
Devil's Third
Star Fox
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer

That's 20 games with chances of a few extra announced at E3, so averaging about 2 games per month.

If they delay Xenoblade out of 2015 i will sue Nintendo for emotional distress

Still not worse than 2005-2006 for GameCube.

January 11, 2005 - resident evil 4
August 2005 - geist
October 2005 - fire emblem: path of radiance
November 2005 - super mario strikers
December 2006 - zelda: twilight princess

Lets look:

I know, we still have Devil's Third, Fatal Frame V and SMTxFE somewhere.

Splatoon: done

Yoshi: done (June 26th in europe, I don't care for Reggie-land)

Mario Maker: fail (fall)

Project Giant robot: unclear (you know, 2015 is still for some time)

Kirby: done

Project Guard: unclear (a lot more of 2015 to come)

Starfox: unclear

Xenoblade Chronicles X: pretty much done (it is said to come 2015, it releases April in Japan, do you really think they need more than 8 months to localize?)

Zelda: fail

So 3 hits and 2 misses so far. Four hits if you already count Xenoblade. So I don't know what you're up to.
