Forums - Gaming - Why don't you play fighting games?

Just curious.  Is there a good reason?  I'm looking for reasonable answers, because I'm going to be making a video explaining fighting games in the coming days.  Would be nice to hear some feedback of what people are needing help with, incase it isn't already in my notes.

My youtube channel will consist of mostly fighting games, so it makes sense I go into detail of how to play them.

All fighting games will be uploaded in 60 FPS.  No exceptions.  That's the speed they all run at anyway... except Jojos, but I don't play that game anyway.

Here's a simple test. And that's all it is.  A test to see if the video would actually upload in 60 FPS, how it would look after youtube has processed it, etc.  So, the next videos will be much better.

Because I don't have a fight stick and I don't have friends to play with. I really want to get into them, but if I'm going to learn, I'm going to do it right but because I have no one to play with, its not at the top of my priority list.

Excluding Smash, I don't really play fighting games because there are other game genres that are more appealing to me. JRPGs, adventure, strategy, etc.

I find them boring.

I have horrible memory and I hate remembering the combos. I also don't like a lot of QTE's in a game. That counts out the majority of fighting games. If they were more similar to how pvp is in dark souls or any souls game I would be more interested.

The FGC is the absolute worst. I love DOA, and Smash, but the community is packed with ignorant arseholes who've got no idea how to interact with people.

Kind of stupid to say that a community is a turn-off, but it is to me.

I find the combos fiddly and annoying.

I play hack n' slash titles and beat em' ups, not sure if that counts. They're like the single player versions of fighting games for me, I know that many of these games have campaigns as well but... meh, I can't get into them.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Other than Smash, they just never really appealed to me. I played a lot of arcade fighters when I was young and I always sucked so that may also be a reason. I can respect those that play them well though since some of the combos players pull off can look amazing, heck that opening combo in your test vid was pretty cool.

not very good at them. Decent at DoA though.
