Seems like nobody cares about games nowadays. Everybody buys a PS4 yet there is no must own games on the system.

Not everyone wants to play on PC.

With a PS4 they can play the best console versions of GTA V, The Last of Us, Diablo 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Minecraft, FIFA 14 + 15, Battlefield 4, Far Cry 4, Tomb Raider, Metro, Trine 2, Assassin's Creed 4 and many other multi-platform games.

Not everyone had already bought these games for other systems.

none of those games have done anything no other game has done

Feel free to give me examples then. And make sure you watch the Japanese direct of xbx first. ;)

The onus for proof is on you. I never said the other two were innovating. No one really is, everything has been done before. You listed a bunch of games and the fact they were spinoffs and sequels to existing IPs negate them being innovative. Except Splatoon but even then thats a third person shooter with a little Portal thrown in. I think you need to look up what innovate means.

No, it's on you. There's simply no other games like them hence why you refuse to answer.

Splatoon is nothing like Portal. Just because it's a third person shooter it can't be innovative? Lmao, makes no sense.

Captain Toad is a spin-off of a game released this gen you know? :) So that makes Super Mario 3D World innovative. Your logic makes no sense. According to you Majora's Mask wasn't innovative because it's a sequel to an existing ip? Makes no sense. Tell me one game that is like Majora's Mask.

I did answer you, you ignored it and didnt try to say my points were wrong, so that tells me you either dont really believe what you are saying or you dont really know what you are trying to say.

and 3d world is a direct sequel to 3d land. Man you are really grasping at straws.  One game thats like Majora's Mask. Ocarinca of Time for one the orginal Majora's Mask that released years ago on N64 are you really trying to use rereleases to claim innovation? Are you ok?

You think just because a game isn't a new ip it can't be innovative? Wow...

You obviously never played OoT and MM or SM3DL and SM3DW if you think these games don't have big differences between them.

I guess Metroid Prime wasn't innovative because it was a sequel to Super Metroid. LOL!

And no you didn't answer me, you gave one example (Portal) that didn't make any sense.

I would say 3D Land was pretty darn innovative. I have never played a 3D platformer that felt so much like a 2D platformer before and I mean that as a huge compliment. I always felt like the 3D mario games were slower and floatier due to being 3D, but 3D Land just proved that the really tight 2D style platforming was possible in a 3D space. I'd say that is something that had never been done before

I find this shorthand to criticism kind of strange: too many sequels or too many game of the same type.

Each game has its own merits, or failure, God of War ascenscion had more of the less interesting aspects of previous titles in the series, all it made me want was to re-play GoW3! Killzone:SF had some really good moments and encounters, but a few areas were barely finished, still enjoyabe, but ultimately far from perfect (MP is appreciated by many) I am pretty sure it would have been better if it was delayed a bit.

You may want to include The last of Us, released in 2013 as well, extremely well recieved.

haven't found anything wrong with them myself, enjoyed them all especially The Order & Knack

they seem to be doing the trick though unlike last gens as PS4 is already 19m sold and way out in the lead, someone must like them

Every story has to be about something i suppose

They're much more western focused than ever before.

None of those are actually good, except Dragon Age. The other great games are just remastered at full price a year after release. There is nothing worth playing on the PS4 at this time for me. Just mediocre games.
