Not everyone wants to play on PC.

With a PS4 they can play the best console versions of GTA V, The Last of Us, Diablo 3, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Minecraft, FIFA 14 + 15, Battlefield 4, Far Cry 4, Tomb Raider, Metro, Trine 2, Assassin's Creed 4 and many other multi-platform games.

Not everyone had already bought these games for other systems.

None of those are actually good, except Dragon Age. The other great games are just remastered at full price a year after release. There is nothing worth playing on the PS4 at this time for me. Just mediocre games.

lol, yeah, except that's your opinion (and clearly in the minority).

Its more like reality at this time.

I have never played a 3D platformer that felt so much like a 2D platformer before and I mean that as a huge compliment. I always felt like the 3D mario games were slower and floatier due to being 3D, but 3D Land just proved that the really tight 2D style platforming was possible in a 3D space. I'd say that is something that had never been done before

Crash Bandicoot 1 on PS1 for example?

It exists outside the Nintendo reality bubble and so is discounted. However now you mention it yeah, the linear, closed nature of the levels in 3D land is very similar to the crash games.

I guess its a design direction born out of necessity to cut down on polygon counts due to hardware limitations.

I do think 3D land is a better game though :p

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I did answer you, you ignored it and didnt try to say my points were wrong, so that tells me you either dont really believe what you are saying or you dont really know what you are trying to say.

and 3d world is a direct sequel to 3d land. Man you are really grasping at straws.  One game thats like Majora's Mask. Ocarinca of Time for one the orginal Majora's Mask that released years ago on N64 are you really trying to use rereleases to claim innovation? Are you ok?

You think just because a game isn't a new ip it can't be innovative? Wow...

You obviously never played OoT and MM or SM3DL and SM3DW if you think these games don't have big differences between them.

I guess Metroid Prime wasn't innovative because it was a sequel to Super Metroid. LOL!

And no you didn't answer me, you gave one example (Portal) that didn't make any sense.

Tell me the big differences. I played all those games and they run on the same engine respectively. I liked how you ignored the fact that MM is getting released again and you are trying to say its innovative? please. Sure they have their differences but at the end of the day they are operating on the same frame work with stuff added on it. Thats no more innovative than what COD does Assassin's Creed and just about any game out there. So either they dont innovate or most people do.

Metroid isnt that innovative becasue they just took a game that was 2d and turned into a FP adventure. There were already games like that prior to Metroid Prime. Now if you wanna say thats innovative for THAT series thats fair. But its not like Ninty exists in a vacuum

oh please, sales says otherwise

I will not bring up points that have already been stated, but I will say that in reference to the games in question it has less to do with the games and more to do with the amateur clickbait reviews that these sites crank out these days.

Littlebigplanet 3 is an absolute delight to play, and by no means is any less of a game than the previous two. The Order is an interesting title that is more compareable to the first Uncharted than anything else. In reality this game is more of a 7.5 or an 8, but we all know reviews were sadly pre determined in the minds of these reviewers before the game was even released. The only game that deserves its score is Driveclub, which is still a decent racer, it just falls short of Forza in so many ways.

Games like Dying Light, Knack (yes I said it) and Thief all got the shit end of the stick while games like Evolve and broken ass BF4 (to this day the game still erases SP saves upon turning the console off) get a free pass when it comes to review scores. Do all of the previously mentioned games deserve a 9? No, but the are certainly better than the review scores make them out to be.

The gaming media these days is nothing but a joke, and it is pathetic to see how far they have fallen. Sony does have some slack to pick up no doubt, but they problems everyone is worried about is more with the amateurs running the media sites these days rather than the games themselves.

Sony first party games are still as good as ever. Reviewers may have changed and are now hating on everything all the time, but the games are far from disappointing. Killzone SF, Knack and Infamous SS were fantastic games!

The argument that reviewers are hating on everything is completely invalid. Knack wad absolutely atrocious.

Delicious, delicious games.

'fraid not.  But you keep thinking that if it makes you happy.
