Okay, so you have scientific proof that Ratchet and Clank isn't a platform game? I'd like to see that. Please note that your own opinion is not scientific proof.

Without this I will just assume you are trying to bait me at this point.

Where exactly is this platforming you speak of?

In the videos you've posted. Unless you don't consider games like Banjo Kazooie platformers either. In which case you don't actually know what the genre actually emcompasses and believe just one variation of platformer is an entire genre.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

90% of the footage was beating up enemies.

According to wiki: "platform game (or platformer) is a video game which involves guiding an avatar to jump between suspended platforms, over obstacles, or both to advance the game. These challenges are known as jumping puzzles or freerunning. The player controls the jumps to avoid letting the avatar fall from platforms or miss necessary jumps. The most common unifying element of games of this genre is the jump button."

I saw very little of that in R & C on the PS2.

Never played Banjo-Kazooie.

There's more platforming in Metroid Prime than in the first R & C yet no one calls that a platformer.

Seriously. They are the only one of the big three that seems dedicated all gen to creating new games whether they are hits or misses.

Too much risk in trying new stuff. Paid the price for it??

Yay!!!

The Ps4 exlusives we've seen so far weren't that great, hence they received lower scores. Plus, during the Ps3 days Sony exlcusives got inflated scores from fanboy reviewers (in fact, a common factor to all of those games was very high quality graphics and great cinematics that proved Ps3 was superioir machine compared to the 360) .
Now that Ps4 is fimrly in the 1st place, and no one has to prove its superiority over the Xbox One, reviewrs have become slightly more objective agian.
