Derby Stallion is interesting. It used to be a huge series back in the day, like 2 million seller huge. It's a shell of its former self now.

That such a thing exists. Well, I shouldn't complain, my country (germany) is big in purchasing yearly releases of farming simulator...

Um, that's kinda bad for Smash Bros. Wii U. It opened less than Mario Kart 8, and I personally expected it to open higher than MK8. Looks like Mario Kart 8 wins for FW. Hardware is also below my expectations of 30K. Smash Bros. 3DS will probably remain the better money maker than the Wii U one everywhere. Hopefully the holidays will help it out, but I don't expect something like 700K anytime soon, if ever.

Samurai Warriors is pretty horrific too, Phantasy Star Nova is a bomb (huge drop), CoD dubbed doing worse than the subbed version, and Captain Toad is showing some legs! Crazy week!

Smash is rather.... underwhelming...

People didnt believe it but 3DS version really killed Wii U version effect

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Unfortunately thats the bad news.... Good News however is 2.25mil+ copies sold for SSB in japan :p

Edit: TBF, though im not saying sales were expected obviously, but its a wiiu game so maybe it'll just look bad in the beginning and leg out pretty nicely? SM3DW is an example, it started out 99k-100k FW and look where its at now :0

Geez, is there some kind of major economic depression going on in Japan or have the Japanese decided they don't like video games anymore?

I think there's a new tax in Japan which has made money more scares than usual.

If Captain Toad of all things is legging out like crazy, I think I'll wait and see how Smash Bros does in the coming weeks.

I'm not convinced Smash Wii U is going to have appreciable legs.

Smash did absolutely nothing to help the Wii U. That's just pathetic.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287
