Nintendo dropped the ball massively and up untill this point there hasnt been a whole lot that could truly justify the console.
Starting with Bayonetta 2 however things are looking up and next year has a quality looking line-up that might shift a few more consoles. Still have no idea how Nintendo will treat 2016 though, can't say I expect too much....

It´s a good device. Many good games and more to come, easy to use, free online, better console for multiplayer/party games. Some great stuff for the future: Xenoblade, Zelda, Star Fox, Mario Party, Splatoon, Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem. Hopefully they´re working on the next Metroid and Animal Crossing too

Badly, badly marketed, badly branded unfortunately. Nintendo seems to be adressing those problems well, but that was a little too late.

One huge dissapointment is the lack of important localizations like Dragon Quest, Fatal Frame, Puyo Puyo Tetris (could come as digital). The lack of sports games will hurt some people, but I don´t care much.

Unexpected games is to be expected for 2016, who ever imagined Splatoon and the return of StarFox before this years E3?

Well, Nintendo can always supply their own sport games: Mario whatever, Wii Sports Reloaded (soccer, football, basketball, golf, bowling, boxing ... with online and miis), Excitebikes, Pilotwings...

Also, how much would people pay for an online version of Wii Sports Boxing, or Wii Sports Resort Swordfighting?

My go to console this gen, Nintendo continues to deliver quality games and the system delivers. Next year is shaping up to be another awesome year for the WiiU, not sure why the thing doesn't sell because it got all the best games this gen so far.

Well I could see a metroid, animal crossing, and another mature 3rd party exclusive. To me those would be the basics, Nintendo giving the fans what enough so that we don't cause too much of a stink.

I think that the more interesting or ambitious projects will simply be moved onto the next console at this point and I think that 2016/17 could suffer because of that.

Happy Birthday Wii U!

Well, I sold mine so that should say how much I liked it. So far, it's my least favorite Nintendo console. The N64, GC, and Wii were all more enjoyable at this point in its life.

With that said, Pikmin 3 & Mario Kart 8 are both amazing games. Best games in their series by far in my opinion. (I haven't even played the DLC) If they can continue this, I'm sure it'll be a great console. I keep being severely indecisive in terms of if I want to re-buy it or not.

On one hand, I want one for a few games. On the other, I'm a bit skeptical about it's future line-up. This will never change. I was skeptical about 2015 and they delivered, I'm now skeptical about 2016, they will probably have the goods again. After that, I'll still be skeptical, this never ending cycle is going to kill it for me. (Maybe others too)

Either way, looks to be a great console, just not for me yet.

I think we can all agree that in the sales perspective, its doing pretty bad.

But as a owner, i am loving it.
My top 3 games so far would be: Super Mario 3D world, Mario kart 8 and Nintendo Land - i just love game which have local multilayer ( + online would be great too)

The miiverse community just blows my mind. Especially the AMAZING art works on Art Academy.

The gamepad are really shining in most of the games and apps.

Recommendations for the Future:
- I thonk nintendo should incorporate more online multiplayer in both their future games and past games too. I would love if a patch happens on some of the games which have already released to have online multiplayer (probably wont happen). But we can see it shine with mk8 and the upcoming smash with the tournaments.

- I think the amiibos is an AMAZING idea, like how they work on multiple games ( makes the ammibos itself worth much more, and makes people to buy other games which they also work). I still think that the amiibos needs to shine more ( and i think we'll definitely see that) + i also have a crazy idea how nintendo should work with anime companies to create ammibos on Anime characters especially since anime fans spend hundreds of dollars on one figurine.

- I also like how they are bringing past franchises back to the wii u - i think they should do more of these, while also releasing new ips.

I think for now that the wii u will INDEED COME IN THIRD PLACE

Nintendo should just gain as much profit as they can with this.

Doooomed! But I still love it.

The fact that its backwards compatible I still play games like Mario Party 9 with family so I put in a good deal of hours into it. The Wii U itself only got me intereseted in a few Mario games and Bayonetta, but I mainly got it just for Bayonetta so it was well worth the $199. Looking foward to Xenoblade X and Mario Party 10 next year!
