The lineup so far is great and the future looks amazing with marbles such as xenoblade and zelda.

I am very happy with the system so far.

From what I understood, people mainly complain about software droughts. This is not a problem for me as I only bought the WiiU when MK8 came out so I have a lot of "previously released" games to play.

Mario Kart 8 is amazing. I enjoyed DKC-TF a lot and I am having a lot of "not so expected fun" with Hyrule Warriors.

Nothing to complain about so far and a lot to look forward to (Smash, 3D World, Bayonetta, X and Zelda).

From a sales and marketing perspective, obviously very bad 1st two years.

From a hardware perspective it's very nice but has some flaws. The Gamepad is a little too big and bulky. This system itself should be at least 2X as powerful. It's great for low power consumption though. It can literally save you $50-$100 a year in power and another $50 in free online.

In the online/OS/features side I'm somewhat satisfied but somewhat pleased. The online and eshop is good, but the virtual console is weak. The whole thing isn't innovative, either. It's merely satisfactory. I.E., how about some HD remakes of old titles or a new entry in a classic 8-bit franchise. Something fun. The boot screen should have lots of theme options and customization and there are no trophies, which is weak.

1st party software is very good. SM3DW was outstanding and so is MarioKart8. Loved WWHD. B2 looks excellent. Xenoblade X looks ridiculously good and a classic JRPG. Zelda looks amazing. Some variety is missing: on Wii at this stage we already had Zelda, Paper Mario and Metroid. There also has been nothing really innovative like Wii Sports was.

3rd party support was great through the first 2 years and that's awesome. But now it's dead and that's a major blow to the system.

All in all, some excellent games to play but the system is too weak and has too little 3rd party support. I'm also disappointing by the marketing simply because I'm tired of explaining to people what it is and it would be nice if more people had one so I could play some multiplayer with friends. Some more innovation and variety in software would be really nice. System is excellent for net surfing, Netflix and Youtube.

It's been pretty meh as a whole for me. To be fair most of the games so far haven't really appealed to me so I can't blame the Wii U too much for not making games that specifically target my interests. Smash Bros will definitely keep me occupied for a long time and I still need to pick up Bayonetta.

I kinda wish it was more of an upgraded Wii, sticking with motion controls. Nintendo tried to instead create a platform for ports from other consoles, and got shafted. I don't own one yet, but always had planned to get it. I am a Nintendo fan and need to play the newest Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc,etc after all. Time is also a big factor. I barely have enough time to keep up with 3DS and PC games. Anyway, the library seems consistent with the N64, GC, and Wii. So it met the bare requirements in my opinion. I plan to get my Wii U Q1 2015.

Wow..  Are you being serious? I've got mine since May/2014 and I've finished just Child of Light, Mario Kart and NSMBU (just a few Star Coins left) although I've other 12 games. I wish I had more time. =/

OT: So far, it's okay, but I hope for a brighter future for Wii U in 2015 and an epic Xenoblade. Then I'll be satisfied.

Mediocre. Very mediocre. I enjoy Off-TV play, but why include a device that adds ~$100 to the price tag if you're not going to use it effectively? Nintendo still hasn't realized that some people really want a more robust online functionality from them, and that those previously minor features like achievements, voice chat, and being able to form parties are now dealbreakers for some people. The games (when we get them) are some of Nintendo's best efforts, but there just aren't enough of them to cover the massive gaps left open by both the lack of 3rd parties and Nintendo's inability to release more software throughout the year.

Hate to sound like I despise the Wii U, that's really not true. I enjoy it quite a bit, but its frustrating to know that it could have been so much more if Nintendo weren't so stubborn.

Pretty good year!
First year was rather bad, but this one was good.
Next year shapes up to be even better!

To be honest, dissapointed. I expected Nintendo to show me great gameplay with the power of the Wii U but now the only thing I see from them are statements like amiibo, DLC and HD graphics.

I expected a lot more from them, bigger games, most technical impressive features, new gameplay ways, etc. At least next year I have games that I actually would like to try like Splatoon story mode, X and Zelda.
