Enjoyed every minute of it so far, its a fine console with a fine library of games. I think the OP should include E shop exclusives as well ( shovel Knight, stealth 2, scram kitty etc) there seems to be a lot of love for indies from the Nintendo crowd or "Nindies" as they are now known.

Shovel Knight is on Steam as well though...

it shouldn't release in the end of 2012(nintendo cut sales from wii and wii cut sales from wii u)...but along with the other two competitive consoles with a mario kart 8 bundle and quite lower cost!I will wait next week the smash bros numbers to express my opinion for its future,but i am almost certain that these numbers will show a bright future!WII U is my favorite nintendo home console!Besides the HD graphics,we are getting the best games from each series(I m obsessed with mario kart 8)!Pokken fighters was a dream,but i want more pokemon on my wii u:A stadium and a mystery dungeon.2015 will be even better!GO GO GO WII U

so far so good. hope they'll have more dev teams or collaborate more with other dev teams to accomplish more games across a wide variety of genre.

for the VC, I think there were still problems or teams unable to focus on them hence they couldn't push for me VC games. maybe GC and N64 games are going to be HD remakes in the future? hopefully some of the big titles would be remastered.

more quality games is the want from the fans so I hope Nintendo can keep it up.

Not good so far.

I like to hit 100 games per console. I doubt the Wii U will have 100 games that I can buy at the rate they release them.

Coming from someone who doesn't own one yet but expected to get one in launch year:

1st year horrid til Q3 (not that bad for typical launches)

2nd year, still pretty baron but the backloge is growing and becoming more enticing.

Still the worst home console we've seen since the sega saturn, although the n64 probably had a worst first year and the Dreamcast had a much bleaker future.

Ultimately though it depends what perspective your coming from. The lack of content and variety relegates it to s secondary console status imo, but its still quite expensive for one. If you love literally everything Nintendo puts out, maybe it justifies it as a main console?

true, but if other gamers have a great spec'd PC, getting a WIi U for Nintendo IPs is really a great deal.  then go for PC version on the multiplats.

second year has been great! i cannot wait for an incredible 3rd and surprisingly awesome 4th.

I give the second year a solid "11/10 - "It's okay."

The first year was just a disaster for Nintendo, unfortunately.

I expect the third year to still be seen like a disappointment, and the fourth, more of the same.
(Too bad I'll be too busy enjoying the Wii U by then!)

Reminds me of the Dreamcast with highquality first party, some second party and third party.
