Forums - Gaming - Ubisoft Stock Gets Crushed after Abysmal Assassin's Creed Unity Launch

76 is still high for a game with so many issues. But we know it's going to sell well anyway.

this yearly release thing is killing the franchise in all areas.

wow to be able to shear 9% off the value of their whole company by showing just how terrible they are at dealing with issues in game development. Justice exists o/ .

I don't they scored any points by not admitting their mistake and trying to make it up to gamers either; they are showing a frightfully low lever of concern for their customers, not unlike EA during the Battlefield disasters and Blizzard during the Diablo III troubles at launch.

Welcome to the future of gaming.

French have never been known for amazing customer service :D

But I agree, they should be a bit more humble when handling their mistakes.

Yeah 76% isn't bad. Average would be 50%. So Assassin's Creed would be considered above average. Though the gaming market is pretty harsh.

Average would actually be in the 70s or maybe even the 80s. Since very very few games actually get scores as low as 50% the average would be a lot higher.

Because reviews scores are not done on averages. A 5 is mediorce, not average. The majority of games are not mediocre, so the average will be above a 5.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was saying. Since reviewers don't use the full scale the average is above 50%.

No, they do use the full scale. The majority of games aren't bad though. Very few are, so very few get below a 5.

I'm getting really good at picking which games will be good and which won't before release.

The PS4 version of Unity actually has 81 on metacritic.

after all they did with the PS4 version??? oh damn the industry is very corrupt

With all its problems I'm surprised it got as high as 76.

Sadly, the game will still sell millions, and Ubisoft will take this as a green light to continue screwing consumers.
