It's really doubtful that big drop was caused by only one game,could any other of their games be performing poorly,possibly?
Also since when is a 76 score a poor rating?,I would of given it a 30,but I guess bugs do not affect the rating process,
hell I don't even understand why people care about reviews,when I want to know if a game is good I just look at gameplay videos,besides people would be missing on all the funny glitches if they just look at reviews .
Just need reviews And Sales reflecting what the game deserves for everything to be ok.

After watchdogs and now this, they are building a reputation for themselves with gamers that wil affect sales of every game the make going forward. Besdies, if AC4 sold a total of 8M copies, and then unity goes on to sell only 3M copies, even if they make a profit I doubt they will be very happy about that. As for the game reviews, I think that its even as high as 76 on meta right now (thought that wil drop as more reviews come in) just goes to show how stupid the review system is in gaming these days. The only review(s) that I appreciated were the joystiq review which gave it a 5/10 and polygon (can't believe I said that) which i think gave it a 6/10. All those people giving it a 7 and above while still complaining (when at all they do) how the framerate issues and bugs make the game almost unplayable and disorientating baffles me. They should have the guts to score the game lower. |
I agree they're doing long-term damage to their image, but if they're still making money and if gamers are still buying/paying, then I doubt they'll see it until the damage really starts making a dent in their bottom line. By then it'll be very difficult to repair the damage done.
As for reviews, their are few reviewers I trust anymore, but even with the outlets I trust I usually go by text rather than score when I decide whether I'll like a game or not. The text often reveals far more than the final scores.
I was hyped for AC:Unity, but I'm hyped for DA:I now. Can't wait to get my hands on that game!
Good they deserved this, Assassin's Creed Unity becomes near unplayable at times on Ps4, i feel like i'm playing an alpha build of the game.
Serves them right.
The sad thing is, it's not the rushed, horrible, buggy rubbish that usually sells badly. The next entry could be perfect, have new features, a great story and be fully optimised, and it will be that version that sells half due to this entry. Then Ubisoft will turn round and say we spent two years and gave you what you want and it sold half the numbers with double the consoles in the wild, then go back to how it is now.
