Forums - Gaming - Ubisoft Stock Gets Crushed after Abysmal Assassin's Creed Unity Launch

MoHasanie said:

Ubisoft’s stock got crushed over 9% today in Europe after an abysmal new game launch of its most important franchise Assassin’s Creed. Not only are the reviews coming in poor with a current Metacritic score of 76 on the Xbox One version, which is only 1 point higher than the critically panned Activision’s Destiny, the game’s bugs and poor performance is becoming a laughing-stock right now on the Internet. There are thousands of posts flooding message boards and Youtube showing graphical glitches, crashes, and frame-rate problems.

Just no.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Pride before the fall Ubisoft.

wow to be able to shear 9% off the value of their whole company by showing just how terrible they are at dealing with issues in game development. Justice exists o/ .

I don't they scored any points by not admitting their mistake and trying to make it up to gamers either; they are showing a frightfully low lever of concern for their customers, not unlike EA during the Battlefield disasters and Blizzard during the Diablo III troubles at launch.

Welcome to the future of gaming.

It's a start.

Rushed game, maybe ?

lol, they deserve it. Hopefully Far Cry 4 is good (both in performance and quality). FC4 is my most hyped game this year (exept LBP3 of course)

stocks always goes up and down. AC:U had an impact of course. But it'll probably will goes back to normal by next week if FC4 will have a good reception.

I stopped reading after "critically panned Destiny". Does the author know what words mean?

Well it's the internet where everything is either horseshit or the second coming of Jesus. Logic hardly ever works any more.

The PS4 version of Unity actually has 81 on metacritic.

after all they did with the PS4 version??? oh damn the industry is very corrupt

They sent out the X1 review copies first so there were less PS4 reviews at the time. It's now on 77 after a few more reviews.

French have never been known for amazing customer service :D

But I agree, they should be a bit more humble when handling their mistakes.

Or by assuming their mistakes?
