I thought 10m before september came. Not so sure anymore :/ was expecting a sooner release WW for smash bros.

It's "possible" (especially if there is a Smash Bros bundle) but improbable.  We'll see.  Nintendo traditionally does well in the holiday season.  It's the rest of the year where the problems lie.  Last year they sold 2-3 million during the holiday season so maybe.

I believe : YES.

As of Nov 1st: 7.3M

= 2.75M needed by 31st of Dec.

Last year: it done 1.6M in Nov + Dec. It did with: No Mario 3D World Bundle, No supporting titles, and a Mario game once often confused with Super Mario 3D Land on the N3DS - and it had almost no hype.

This Year Wii U has: Very hyped up Super Smash Bros for Wii U , Two Supporting titles (Sonic Boom, Captain Toad), amiibo , greater awareness of the Wii U and various bundles : Smash Bundle, MK8 + 3D World Bundle, Basic Bundle.

Therefore, I predict it will do 2.7-2.9M in these last 2 Months, depending on Ninty ads and amiibo.

Note: Whatever the outcome, it will be very close!

It's entirely possible, but it will be very tough to get past that mark this year.

In any case, the Wii U will come close to that score for sure. It will probably land somewhere between 9.5 and 10 Millions, but if the Wii U gets lucky for once it could do better than this.

Sold? I don't see the Wii U selling 2.7mil in two months time, unless I am extremely underestimating Smash.
