Forums - Gaming Discussion - #PCMASTERRACE thing out of control

No, I'm not tired of it, mostly because I haven't really noticed. Probably due to;

A: I rarely read youtube comments, it is by far the worst part of the known internet.

B: Even when I do, it is mostly PS/Xbox vs Nintendo or resolution and framerate wars between PS and Xbox.

PS: yes, I hope people appreciate the glorious irony of my sig.

The worst part is when you're on Youtube watching a review of an exclusive title and one of them pops up saying " I can't wait for this to come to PC". My last experience of this was with Blood Borne. This one PC gamer was so resilient in his belief that Blood Borne will make its way over to PC because he played Dark Souls not knowing even about the existence of Demon Souls and Sony and Softwares collaborations to make both Demon Souls and Bloodborne. In the end we all just had to say "Sony isn't Microsoft" and he kind of got it.

or the ones saying why isn't this coming for xbox!

At least that is somewhat healthy. Some PC gamers expect more than just the multiplats to hit PC sometimes. Xbox gamers get annoying when they hate on rival console exclusives, but that goes both ways because Sony gamers  do it too. LOL

PCs are not for gaming. PCs are for porn. I can't respect anybody that uses a Porn Computer for gaming. Gaming devices are for gaming. Using a PC for gaming is like using a smartphone for phone calls. It just ain't right.

And that's all I have to say on the matter. I really don't know or care about PC gamers....and they know this. Nobody cares about them and they just want to be a part of the fun.

Your first mistake is reading YouTube comments.

Pretty much this. I swear I become dumber every time I read a Youtube comment section.

Port beggers... lol they're everywhere... I've seen more port beg for games on Xbox though.

Most PC's aren't even more powerful than the currect consoles. You would have to pay a hefty price to find such an excellent gaming rig that the PC fanboys brag about. I see it as they're bragging they're super rich/cursed with a superiority complex.

Just enjoy your damn games, people!

PC master race is the PC fanboys' way of staying relevant with the console wars. But yeah, you shouldn't take youtube comments seriously.

It's parody. Check out the PCMasterRace subreddit. It's just for fun.

And LOL console wars. The "console wars" are a marketing ploy by Sony and Microsoft to get YOU to advertise THEIR console for FREE. Don't fall for that shit. Additionally, PC gamers have their own war. It's called Intel vs AMD and it's the same shit powering the tech in all three systems.

Myself, I have a couple badass PCs. (check sig). However, I also have a WiiU. It's fun to play and I enjoy raging at the crap that is Mario Kart 8 and playing Hyrule Warriors for an hour before getting bored.

PCMR isn't about PC being better. It's about acknowledging that PC is better. A console gamer is only called a peasant when they don't realize that single fact and think their "PS4 with 8gb gddr5" is better than a PC that costs 600 dollars. It's not.

Check this link: http://www.reddit.com/r/PCMasterRace/wiki/builds

You can build a solid PC that is better than Xbox One for under 500 USD. Not to mention, between Steam sales and other online stores, you can get games for very cheap or even free.

Seriously I can't go onto a new YouTube video related to gaming without most of the top comments being about the #PCMasterRace. When I watch a video the first thing I do is read the comments and it's getting extremely annoying now. It's so predictable and it's not even funny. You'd think the master race crew would be off playing their expensive rigs and AAA games. They really put genuine PC gamers into a bad light and I never thought I'd see the day where a group of fanboys would be worse than the PS and XB fanboys.

Anyone else getting tired of it?

I'm tired of people using # on sites that they don't belong on. You look like a tool.

What do you consider a hefty price? I built my PC for what would be $550 if I didn't have a free OS from my university (no tax online in my state, before rebates.) The PS4 costs $427.93 after tax in my state/county. Add on the four-five years of online membership as well. You get free games with PS Plus, but my graphics card came with three free new retail releases adding up to $150.  My graphics card ($200) is about 2 times more powerful than that found in the PS4. If you mean to buy an OEM PC the price would be hefty, then yeah you're right. Also you seem to believe the only thing PC has to offer is better graphics. The argument for gaming on a PC isn't only a power argument. There is vastly more flexibility with PC gaming to make it the exact platform you want. That has nothing to do with PC's being more powerful and much to do with they being open platforms.
