Forums - Sales - Can Xbox One Pass PS4 Globally in the USA this Year?

Globally in the USA? How is that a sentence?

Owwwww panda. You need so little to be happy that I'm happy as well.

When X1 was doing worst it being above WiiU made you happy. Now that for one day Amazon have x1 3:1 against ps4 you are enthusiastic.

Azzanation: "PS5 wouldn't sold out at launch without scalpers."

No, they might match or slightly outsell PS4, but they WILL gather momentum to start outperforming PS4 during 2015. That is, if they make the right moves.

It looks like the XBox One is now dominating 2014 global retail sales! I knew it would happen eventually!

And by "2014 global retail sales", i mean in the US, for the first 4 days of November, only on Amazon.com.

"Globally in the USA"

Do you mean that xbox one global numbers should pass PS4 US numbers. In that case I think it's already done.

Just to temper a little bit of this, some of the huge Amazon numbers the past few days has been the fact that many stores haven't had stock of the good X1 bundles (already overstocked with vanilla SKUs and ancient Kinect SKUs).

So more people just use Amazon for things that are HTF in stores.

That's FAR from the only thing, or the main thing, but it is a factor I'm absolutely sure. I've been to several Walmarts in the area in recent days and it's been true at each location.

The other things to ask : what is the baseline demand? How many people were waiting for an X1, but wanted a good deal (price cut + bundled game?). Will the demand be satiated in a few days/weeks, or will it become a new baseline?

I am thinking X1 will edge a win in November, lose slightly in December, and fail hard in 2015 until the holidays again.

And no, nobody believes that this is a 'temporary' price cut either, that's bunk. $399 can never happen again, I don't know who they think they're fooling with that line of BS. $299 will almost certainly hit by E3 2015 as well.

Haha Thank god sales don't matter right? I don't see the Xbox One catching the PS4 in the U.S. though it may outsell it in November. This is practically the Alamo for the Xbox One. It's sort of now or never isn't it?

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Will users stop making unrealistic threads?

I don't think you know what globally means.

I do not think you understand the joke behind it :)

OP: I believe it is quite possible. Looks like they are doing very well right now (november) and with MMC right at the corner it may be possible.

Globally in the USA lol?
In the US alone it has a good chance yes if the ps4 doesnt bring in new bundles.
