So...there's a lot of people on here that don't seem to think logically and assume that PS4 is just going to stop selling completely...

Amazon ranking are indeed very accurate. However, sample sizes of 1 hour are not. Take this very hour now. Titanfall is number 1 on Amazon.com

Ahead of the 3 PSN cards that typically rule the Top 3. It's because of a sale on Titanfall(great prices BTW, totally worth 10$ on PC) much like XBO's surge is due to it's sale/price-cut/bundles.

Unfortunately you cannot logically extrapolate a one hour time-frame to the rest of the holiday season. TF being number one is clear proof of this. We all know that CoD will outsell TF.

Is XBO experiencing a great sales boost? Absolutely
Will XBO continue to be ahead throughout the coming months? Too early to tell.

Anyways, as of the original posting with 3 bundles of XBO ahead of 1 PS4 claiming that XBO was outselling 3:1(this is correct mathematically) the numbers have now changed with 2 bundles ahead instead of 3. The only problem is we don't know if 10000 or 1000 or 100 consoles were sold in that hour.

Last time I checked Amazon the PS4 was at 22 with three One SKU's above it. Currently it is at 15 with two One SKU's ahead, it seemed SO bundle ran out of stock, or maybe the bump is temporary.. still I'd like to wait a week to see how things shape up. Good times for the console warz!

Probably not. Microsoft has to sell over 1 million units (as of 10/18) in excess of whatever Sony sells this holiday. That is a tall order. If Sony sells 1 million in November and December, Microsoft has to sell over 2 million. If Sony sells 2 million,.. well you see it becomes extraordinarily difficult. You begin to approach a situation where Microsoft has to break all sorts of records.

Ps4 is number one and Xbox is 25. If the xbox number starts to drop then that means the gap is closing. 

 

Oh and also, one retailer does not = all retail. 

Thats the xone wireless controller. The Xbox one has SKU's at 51 and 52 and 98 whereas the PS4 is 4 and 28. The One at 98 is the base model which has not shifted in the last week from 98 even with the daily sales charts pike which puts the actual amount here into context when trying to jump the gun based on 3 days of sales.

 

Sorry about that. Got really confused when posting that. Literally looked at the amazon page for 10 seconds before I had to rush off. 

 

My point still stands though. And damn! Didn't realisd the xbox one was ranked so far behind the ps4.

No. If at all it will be at the earliest in late - 15. And only globally in the US. The UK will be much tougher and i dont see the rest of europe even being remotely competitive.
