Not sure the logic here, unless your just trolling.
The XB1 has only dropped $50 since Launch. The Kinectless sku can't be compared to the Kinect sku.
It is near the end of the end....
Maybe they'll do that cell phone plan thingy they did with the Xbox 360 where they sell it for super cheap with an inflated Xbox Live subscription. They tested the waters last gen. Maybe the time is right.
end of 2017 or early 2018
to hard to tell. if the xb1 sells well (enough) it would be still 200 bucks for holiday season 2017
fist shinked model will apper end 2015 or early 2016. that will be the 299 pricepoint

announcement maybe, but not for sell. no way we see any 20nm consoles before end of 2015.
i still think 2016 first

I dunno whypeople are being anal about this.
Bottom line is that by this time last year you could only get an XB1 for $500.
Now you can get an XB1 with a game for $350. New sku, unbundled, limited time...whatever. Its a new price point. When its advertised what you wil see is starting at only $349.99.

That's fair enough, but he's suggesting MS are price cutting (to suggest $200 at this point is pointless chatter). They've had a $50 price cut in a year. So by that rate, another 3 years.

it worked perfectly fine for ms
everone thinks the xbox one is 150 buck cheaper now. but for real its way less :)
Holidays 2016. Perhaps a temporary price drop from 250 to 200

Has there ever been a situation where this has happened, from Microsoft? Genuine question. I mean, it's as I said, if this were permanent, they'd be more willing to say that up front, especially given what kind of market penetration it could mean, particularly in the US. I also never said anything about $400 without a game, as I think they'll probably always offer a bundled game down the road. The removal of Kinect was not a price cut. Dropping to $349.99, temporary or not, is (especially given the value of each bundle). A $200 Xbox One is no where close, definitely not within the next 1.5 years. |
I wasn't crucifying you. Just pointing out that considerring how weird the pricing this gen has been so far, it wouldn't really be far fetched to assume that a $200-$250 XB1 is just a year or so away. Ther are so many things that has happend this gen so far that if anyone said that would be the case just 12 months ago they would have been branded as a crazy fanboy.
No need to say it. Just look at it this way. If you see it being marketed on TV. If you say one single commercial in the next week or so saying XB1 now starting at $349... then know its gonna be permanent.
I also don't particularly care the kinectless sku is a price drop or not. None of that matters to me or the fact that at the end of the day, on TV it wil be marketed as XB1 now starting at (insert price here). It still doesn't change the fact that not a single person alive would have believed it if in Nivember last year anyone had said
"in 12 months, you will be able to get an XB1 for $350 with a free game. Yes, the same console that is about to launch at $500"
And thats the point I am trying to make.
Hahaha nice graph.
OT: no idea. Probably a long time

My prediction threads:
Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)
PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)
Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right
