$200 is far away. I expect an official permanent price cut to $349 in early 2015 and then $299 at the end of 2015. I'm gonna say it won't happen in the next 3 years.

MS is time. It is time to unbundle ZE CLOUDZZ.
You should re-do the graph with a logarithmic function, not a linear one. Also, I don't think we can use the Kinect "price cut" to predict the console's future prices. Any price drop from here will have to be a price drop. They can't remove anything more from the package, other than maybe the Blu-ray drive.

logarithmic (had to add +1 to the launch month to appease the mathmatics)

polynomial

based on the R2 value the poly is the best fit of all three equations.
Not anytime soon, and 350 wasn't even a price drop, just a temporary promotion.

I don't think the polynomial works well. Looks like it'll start increasing in price in 2016!

I feel like people are blowing this price cut up way too high. I understand it's soon to do such a price cut, but remember it's only in the US, so I, for example, would not benefit from it in any way. Also it's temporarily, though I do expect Microsoft to announce like a global price to $350.
Add me on Xbox: DWTKarma
if they fail to overcome sony this holiday in USA,i can see $300 price tag next year.
200? maybe 2016?!
March 2017.
People who said march 2015 are trolling lol
So right now its $350 with ''holiday deal''. Say next year it possibly settles around $350 instead of going back to $400, we def won't see another price cut til Q3 2015 with maybe a new slimmer model after E3. When that next cut happens its not gonna be $150 price cut, It'll be another $50-$70 so a $269-$300 Xbox One in time for Halo 5. I think sony is far too content with current profits and success to engage in a price war with MS, so naturally MS aren't gonna drop to $200 unless sony are floating around $250 and that isn't happening til 2017. Someone in Sonys position isn't gonna throw away profits just to keep a tidy 2:1 ratio.
