You guys aren't seriously arguing that this game is short on content, are you?
You're not seriously mad about a bunch of free updates coming a few months after release, are you?

Conceptually, nothing is wrong with DLC. The main problem people started having was when a game had DLC that felt like it was something they took away from the game, then made you pay to access.
The fact that Mewtwo isn't day 1 DLC (and is still going to be worked on until Spring 2015) shows that this isn't the case. Even if he were day 1, there's the fact that this game has a huge amount of content in it, so people are less likely to complain about it anyway.

So with this you automatically "Assume" it is?

I remember a time which is all the time you complain for no reason :-/
I think Mewtwo is the only one that will be coming back like this. If it was DLC there would probably be more characters announced or at least hinted at in the direct. This sounds more like Mewtwo was planned to be in the game but Nintendo didn't have enough time to add him in because of time constraint so instead of cutting him out completely (Like in Brawl) They are adding him in as a bonus. Which is also a smart way to get people to buy both versions of the game.

And you automatically assume it isn't?
Honestly, it's WORSE if you're assumption is correct. Then Nintendo is actively being deceitful in marketing.
"Mewtwo returns to those who buy both versions for FREE! Oh, you bought the 3DS version, but didn't have a Wii U, so you bought a Wii U and Smash for Mewtwo? Thanks for the $$$, but you didn't have to do that, because Mewtwo is now available for $5 on the eShop for both versions!"

You sound like you just want Nintendo to look bad. This kind of marketing isn't deceitful because most people who wouldn't have gotten one version anyway would still not get it just for Mewtwo. It has been clearly stated Mewtwo isn't even finished yet. I would bet that the reason why the announcer said Mewtwo was "free" when you buy both versions is BECAUSE you would have to pay for him otherwise. If it weren't that way, then it would have simply said that Mewtwo was an exclusive to those who got both versions of the game.

They'll definitely announce if you can buy Mewtwo standalone beforehand.
